   Excellent knowledge of special needs car seats! We live in Scotland and had our assessment done remotely and the car seat with harness delivered to us at home address ready assembled to fit straight into our car. First class customer service from Claire who we dealt with throughout. Claire was very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing us to the correct car seat that would be supportive enough for our 7 year old son who has out grown his standard car seat but needs more support than a ordinary booster seat can offer. There was no pushing of expensive seats and Claire made sure we got what we needed and was fully transparent throughout. I would highly recommend the centre for ASN car seat purchases with their knowledge and experience in this area we found the whole process really easy. Nothing was too much trouble with Claire and her colleague going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. We are very happy with the seat and harness and were delighted to receive it just in time for a long car journey!

   Unfortunately I was involved in a car accident and needed to replace my car seat quickly. I had purchased the seat I needed to replace from In Car Safety centre so I contacted them for advice. I was able to book and appointment for later that day which was great. I saw Claire at the Towcester branch and she couldn't have been more helpful. I was looking for extended rear facing and she advised on the products she had in different price points. She was clearly very knowledgeable. I was impressed to see that even though I needed a seat right away I had a lot of different ones to choose from. Claire fitted the seat in my car, checked the fit for my child and have me advice on how to make sure my child is always safe. She also advised on how to contact them for any questions I may have in the future. We were also chatting as my child spent time in NICU due to HIE, a brain injury. Claire explained that they also offer seats to accommodate premature babies and can offer fit advice. They also offer a big range of seats for children with additional needs who may need quite specific equipment for car journeys. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy a car seat, they are fair prices and you know your child will be in the right seat. The fact they can help families who need specialist equipment and have lots available for trying out only makes this place even better. I will absolutely be recommending to friends. 10/10. Thank you

   CHOICE, BUT JUDGEY ATTITUDE Clearly knowledgeable, and clearly have a decent variety of seats on sale. I’m giving 2-stars for our visit though, because we just didn’t feel like we had a great experience. We booked a £25 car seat fitting appointment to have someone look over the fit of our SilverCross Approach 360 car seat, because as first-time parents, we are understandably anxious about safety. We spent quite a lot of time choosing a seat, and after putting it on our wish list, it was purchased for us directly from SilverCross by a family member as their gift to us. When we arrived, the lady asked us what seat we had, and when told it was a SilverCross my partner noticed some derision in facial expression, but we proceeded outside to our car anyway. We had previously tried to fit it at home but noticed a lot of wriggle-room in the seat, so when the lady from the ICSC had a go, she was struggling to make it work. What irritated me about the experience here was the “judgement” both for our choice of brand and the fact we hadn’t bought a seat from them. Mutterings: - “This is why we don’t buy SilverCross” - “They have only just started making these, they used to make prams” (same could be said for all brands this place stocks), - “People buy these for style over substance just because they look good” All of which were quite bizarre things to say to a customer who is expecting within 3 weeks, who already has their seat. On the point of “you’ve only bought this because it looks good” (implying we were vain idiots, or so it felt like), I’d like to point out that we drive an old Land Rover, covered in mud and dog hair. I don’t think looks or style are important to us as a couple. We chose this one because of the super soft material, the great rating, and the fact it’s one of the flattest car seats on the market. We didn’t get past trying to fit the base. Overall, we left feeling a bit deflated by the experience. Fair enough, maybe our seat isn’t compatible with our car, and fair enough, she did spend a good 20-25 minutes with us trying to figure out if the seat moved or how to overcome the awkward ridge for the base leg. But we left feeling judged for our choice of car seat, for leaving it this late, and for not purchasing it from them. I think she had a bias against this brand, and felt the need to drop in why they don’t stock or why people shouldn’t buy them (neither are helpful), and I’m not entirely sure that there aren’t reasons beyond the altruistic as to why they stock the brands that they do. We would rather have had the seat bought from a shop (as opposed to directly), but we didn’t have a choice in that. We will be calling Silver Cross tomorrow regarding the fit. Should we need to purchase an entirely different seat, I wouldn’t be returning here to do so. Do yourselves a favour and always shop through a bricks and mortar store. John Lewis have been particularly useful for us. A slight change in attitude from judgy to empathetic would have gone a long way here. They were quite happy to take our £25 while deriding our choice, though. Perhaps don’t offer car seat fittings for self-purchased seats if you’re going to judge the seats or brands that people choose (or make it clear that you refuse to do fittings for those brands that you personally dislike).

   Made a 1hr appointment this week and visited the store to buy a new seat for our 6month old. Within the hour we received very clear information with pros-cons (not just cost), were able to narrow down their extensive range into a short list of 2-3 that met our criteria, tried these in the car for size, put our baby in them to check for vibes, made a purchase, and had it fitted by the highly knowledgeable team. Will be back here in a few years time when it’s time for the next stage.

   We travelled nearly an hour from home to get to the store near Towcester. We were happy to travel to go somewhere with knowledge and expertise, and the opportunity to see a range of car seats. We had a bit of a niche situation as we have a reverse facing toddler in the middle seat (and still need access to them), while wanting to buy car seats for 15 month old twins who would sit on either side. The staff were amazing and knew exactly what would (and what wouldn’t) work for us. They took a seat outside to try in our car to test access to the middle seat. They were so helpful and had seats in stock so we were able to drive away with 2 BeSafe Beyonds, one of which they fitted for us (we chose to do the other one ourselves later). Cannot praise highly enough.

   It would be our third car seat from this place. Previously, and now we had been told product lead time to be X. It was longer or unknow after chasing. Do not ask for an update over email. Doubt, you will get one. Over the phone all I got was i don't know when this colour will be available. But you can have blue or black. Potentially, that was a known fact to sales personnel. I prefer honesty over trick, but hey. Great for trying the car seat but you can do same cheaper and with colour your child wants.

   The only place I'd go for car seats. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly advice. No pressure to sell. Huge selection. And you can try any seat in your own car directly outside the showroom. I have to give Dawn a huge amount of kudos for helping resolve a warrenty issue directly with the manufacturer! No stress. Just a phone call to say the problem was sorted! Thank you!!!!

   If you need a new car seat then this is the perfect place to go. We drove from Cambridge, was absolutely worth the journey. The staff were brilliant, they knew exactly what we needed and bonus, it was on sale so cheaper than elsewhere. Make sure you have room in the car for the box as they fit your new carseat for free!

   Such a great experience. Massive showroom with all the seats to see and try out. Literally every brand and model. The staff member who we had the appointment with was so knowledgeable and patient, despite my indecision! Absolutely no pushing towards expensive brands or accessories. Completely impartial and focused on your needs and what would fit car best. Comprehensive knowledge of all cars. Demonstrated how to fit the seat safely. Really pleased
