    Stayed at 3 properties they managed on behalf of landlords via AirBnb. All had significant issues and were uncontactable. Paid for early check-in, and they agreed a visit with a housing agent, left us almost 2 weeks with no working oven and spent 1 hour trying to find a property due to poor instructions and all contact numbers went straight to voicemail. No follow-up call after leaving several messages. We use AirBnb regularly for work, hands down some of the poorest service I have had while doing so.

    We rented a 2 bed flat in Surrey through Smarter Rent and had an overall positive experience. The flat itself was lovely; very clean when we moved in, nicely furnished, and clearly well looked after. It felt like home right away, and for the price, the quality of both the property and furnishings offered excellent value for money. The team were generally friendly, polite, and responsive, and they were fully accommodating throughout the tenancy. One downside was that we felt quite rushed into moving in. The process moved quickly and we didn’t have as much time or clarity as we would have liked before taking possession of the property. A bit more time and transparency at that stage would have made for a smoother start. We also experienced ongoing issues with the hot water system. Throughout our stay, we were only able to get hot water by turning on the central heating. We raised this several times, and although engineers were sent out, the issue was never fully resolved. While the communication around this was fairly consistent, the lack of a permanent solution was frustrating. That said, the flat itself was a very comfortable place to live, and the furnishings and cleanliness really made a difference. When our next rental property unexpectedly fell through, Smarter Rent were kind enough to extend our stay, and that flexibility helped us out tremendously during a stressful time. Thank you again to the Smarter Rent team for providing a clean, well-equipped home and for being so accommodating when we needed it most :)

    My family and I stayed in a SmarterRent home in Surrey for ~6 months. We moved from the US to the UK, and we needed a proper home for us and our pets while we completed the selection and purchase of our home in London. We loved our home! It had all of the critical elements a family needs, especially a washer dryer. The house was also reasonably close to convenient grocery choices, parking for our car right out front, an outstanding GP, and easy train access to London. Most importantly, our home was incredibly pet friendly. All of the furnishings were easy to maintain, and caring for the property was simple because it was well decorated and designed to be useable by a family. I have stayed overseas in quality hotels that were not as comfortable or hospitable as our home. We could buy groceries and cook our own dinner. This option was far more flexible and ultimately more affordable than a serviced apartment, and we felt like proper homeowners while living there. And, critical for any pet owner relocating to greater London, PET FRIENDLY!!! Highly recommend, 10/10. I hope this review helps you when planning your move.

    We have been very pleased with our accommodation with Smarter rent. They are always available to help with any problems. We had two medium term rental homes and both were of a very high standard. We did feel that they could have supplied clean bedding during our stays as neither property had drying facilities so had to laundry services. Altogether a very good rental service.

    I moved into my temporary accommodation with smarter rent following a flood at my house. I was grateful to have found somewhere to be, especially as I have pets. The property had just been bought and turned around so it was clean, freshly painted and equipped with brand new (cheap)stuff. The internet was working and so was the heating so I was relieved! The explanatory mail was easy to follow and in the two months here, I had no big issue. However, for the extortionate rental price, the property does not have a dishwasher, you are cooking on a gas cooker with a gas oven (in 2023!) with no extractor fan in the kitchen. The shower has zero pressure (it is a gravity system) and it is actually impossible to have a decent shower and rinse yourself off properly. I ended up washing my hair in the kitchen sink. The bathroom sink has two separate taps so again, very unpractical (you either are freezing or you burn yourself) I will not be the only customer to have an issue with this… The garden has a synthetic lawn…for easy maintenance, I understand. All in all, I would have left this place if there was anywhere else available because the bathroom was a big issue for me. I communicated the issues I had to Smarter rent who sent a plumber to my house without my authorisation on a day I was not around. Needless to say I was furious and found them very unprofessional.

    Only good things to say about the team at Smarter rent! From the first encounter with Adrien I have felt confident in their abilities to help me with the rental of my Shepperton home. Adrien was very patient with me during the process and took the time to educate me on what to expect. Lisa helped transform the home from unfurnished to a home people love to stay at. Everyone else I have met so far has been very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

    We had a great experience with Smarter Rent, renting a property for three months in Maidenhead when new to the area. From starting the lease to ending it the process was extremely easy and well organized. The flat was spotless, well furnished and in a great location. If we needed anything they were always there for us. It worked out perfectly for us and we would definitely use Smarter Rent again. Highly recommend.

    Dealing with the staff at Smarter Rent has been a really positive experience from the very start. Everyone has been extremely thorough, professional, proactive and friendly. I didn’t know it could be this easy to start as a professional landlord. The communication with the whole team is great and they have helped me every step of the way. They researched and advised me on the best properties to invest in, they handled the purchase, made the properties look amazing and have found the right tenants. They keep me informed at all times and handle my budget really well. I was worried that the whole process would be too complicated but they have dealt with everything professionally and made it a truly great experience. I cannot recommend them more!
