   A delightful dining experience We decided to try this place as it had a great atmosphere and looked really inviting – and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a relaxed and welcoming setting. The food was not only well presented but also packed with flavour – every dish we tried was delicious. The hospitality stood out too; the team were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. A lovely experience all round – we’ll definitely be back

   We had a great meal here overall. The lamb shank tagine, calamari and falafel were all tasty. The jowhara dessert was ok. It's just a dressed up vanilla ice cream. Probably wouldn't order this one again. But the mains were great.

   Our Saturday lunch at Makla was an absolute delight from start to finish! We savoured a delightful array of mezze dishes, each bursting with fresh and vibrant flavours. The rose baklava was, without a doubt, the best we have ever encountered – the delicate essence of rose infused beautifully with the rich, flaky pastry with a delicious white chocolate sauce. Every bite was a little piece of heaven. To top it all off, our server Nuno was an absolute star! His warm and attentive service truly made our visit extra special. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with exquisite flavours and exceptional hospitality, Makla is a must-visit!

   What a fantastic little gem! Very unassuming from the outside but step into a whole different world on the inside! Staff friendly and vibrant and the food is exquisite. Ground level restaurant and bar area with live music in the basement level...I can highly recommend a trip out to Makla! Fantastic evening!
