   I’ve been to this place a few times now, and every single visit has left me more disappointed and disgusted. In my experience, the security and bouncers treat people differently based on who they are — especially non-white guests and Travellers. The way they speak to certain people and the attitude they show is completely unprofessional and, in my opinion, deeply discriminatory. It’s honestly shocking that management allows this kind of behavior to continue. The atmosphere feels unsafe and unwelcoming if you’re not part of their “preferred” crowd. Instead of creating a fair and respectful environment, the staff make people feel targeted and uncomfortable. It’s a horrible look for any business in 2025. On top of that, the place itself is dirty and poorly maintained — floors sticky, bathrooms awful, and it just feels neglected overall. To make matters worse, I’ve noticed what seems to be a lot of very young people there, which makes the lack of proper oversight even more concerning. This bar seriously needs to take a hard look at its staff and standards. Until they clean up their act — both literally and figuratively — I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who expects basic respect and decency

   I’ve been going to Jam Jar for a while and it’s always been a great place to grab reasonably priced drinks. Normally I enjoy the atmosphere and it’s been one of my go-to spots. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, I was really let down by the service. One member of staff was rude, unwelcoming, and seemed uninterested – rolling their eyes and showing no expression. It really took away from the experience, which is disappointing given how much I’ve enjoyed coming here in the past.

   Toilets are always filthy, floors soaked and no one attempting to clean up. Drinks from jam Jar section are served in tiny cups for £9 a pop. Not worth it
