   This company has taken two deposits from our students and parents. Due to the COVID pandemic, we were unable to collect and make the final payment, as we were on lockdown. The trip could not happen, as the Austrian Ski resorts were closed. Despite this, Activ4 have said that because we did not make the third payment (during lockdown) they are not going to give any refund or credit note. they cited the following court rulings: ' Lambert v Travelsphere Limited [2005] CLY 1977 and Clark v Travelsphere Limited, Leeds County Court, 22nd October 2014. Applying that test, it cannot conceivably be the case that one could safely conclude in June 2020 that there was no 'flicker of hope' left that the holiday (set to depart on 13/02/21) could proceed. Equally, that it was 'absolutely inevitable and unavoidable' that the holiday could not go ahead as planned.' 'Given the events of the last year, WHO guidance and ABTA guidance around such matters, this appears to be an inappropriate response, specifically with regards to actions taken by ABTA registered travel companies as a result of the Pandemic.The families at our school have lost a significant amount of money. Some of the children were using some of their own money to pay for the trip. Our children are very upset and don't understand. I would not recommend this company and if negative stars were a possible rating, they would receive this. Morally and ethically bankrupt.'

   I have always taken school groups with Activ4 and I have found them understanding and completely supportive of every trip I run. They are patient and helpful with all of the groups' needs. I have just returned from Lake Garda with a group and stayed at the Hotel San Zeno. First and foremost I found this to be a safe hotel and the management very helpful and understanding of the needs of the children. They were happy for us to have a function room, use the pool safely and provided good food without any fuss, especially for people with specific food requirements. They were flexible with the room allocations. Once again, they were very patient. San Zeno is further up the mountain, has wonderful views and is in a quiet resort. The reps were very, very good. Pia, Monika and Anna: excellent. Pia has worked with Activ4 for years and nothing is too much trouble for her and her team. Activ4 have a great range of activities on offer, but what I like is that they will patiently tailor the activities to your needs, even if you want to swop them around during the booking process. They are always very helpful and willing to help even until the last moment ( in my case!). The coach company Barry's were excellent, and I was pleased that they used a local company for me as they had the children's' interests as a priority. Finally, a big thank you to the ever patient and professional Dom Moore, who put the trip together, again nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. I highly recommend Activ4 because of their flexibility and support throughout the booking and travel process. I always travel with them.

   Our Senior School has been working with Activ4 for a number of years. We have found them very responsive and flexible, with good local support in their European centres. Aaron Jones and his team listen carefully and make every effort to deliver the trips which we are looking for, and I would recommend them to similar independent schools.

   For the last 28 years I have led school ski trips to resorts around Europe. The last two trips have been with Activ4. I was fully supported by them and the trips have been brilliant. Every trip leaders knows what they want and Activ4 provided everything from start to finish. Easy admin process and patience (we teachers never have time but Activ4 get that as well) Great coaches and drivers, top hotels and food, great skiing and even better instructors, hot lunches in mountain restaurants and other activities. I fully recommend them and happy to speak to anyone looking to use them for a trip.

   We used Activ4 for our Venice Sports Tour in 2019 where we attended the SportsFest. The facility was fantastic and was very true to all of the accompanying literature. Students always found something to eat and there was loads to do with the beach, water park, astro etc it was a sporty student's dream venue! There was a good amount of time for students to explore the facilities and get involved with the various coaching sessions and tournaments. The quality of the coaching sessions was good, particularly the football sessions. The netball tournament allowed for the girls to get a lot of fixtures where the standard was varied. The disco on the final night was fantastic are far surpassed our expectations. I would absolutely recommend Activ4 (in particular the SportsFest), and booked with them after hearing from another local school who had recommended them to us. They were professional at all times, extremely helpful and well organised. The organisation leading up to the trip was fantastic and meant that I was fully supported in terms of all of the paperwork. We are currently in the process of booking our next long-haul tour with them after such a positive experience this year.

   The Performing Arts trip to Italy, that Activ4 organised for us, was a huge success. The preparation was efficient and all questions answered in detail - even the silly ones! Students had an amazing time and we felt supported buy Activ4 throughout the whole trip. Highly recommended!
