I went here for my Flu jab, I was told there was no stock, They said I should have received a message but I did not, I had taken time off work for the appointment, very annoying.
Useless pharmacy. Booked a flu jab for three of us, turned up and they had no stock. Couldn't be bothered to let us know. They then did not cancel the NHS appointment so we could book elsewhere and we had to phone them up to sort it. Would not recommend
Just been for my flu and Covid jab. Friendly young girl, didn’t have to wait long. However the cleanliness wasn’t great. (I work in the NHS so j suppose I’m more aware of clinical areas. She wasn’t washing her hands or using alcohol gel between each patient. The small clinical room was dirty and dusty! She made me bleed (I’ve never bled with a flu jab before and I’ve been having them for years) I have a big lump on my arm and it’s very painful. Unsure if that’s due to the how she jabbed me or if it’s the vaccination itself. All the Syringes were in one basket out of the boxes. They all looked the same so a mistake could easily happen giving 2 of the same vaccination.
Staff pleasant, however it needs a good clean. The shelves are dirty and the floor needs sweeping. Sadly this is not a one-off observation.
I had forgotten some of my tablets, and I was staying in Buxton fo 3 days. They arranged with my Doctors and some tablets arrived this afternoon. Thank yo very much.
Build at the side of the Buxton medical practice which makes it easier after appointment and for the nearest chemist for people in Burbage n surrounding area. Helpful staff n not judge on first meeting them. Treated equal
Worst pharmacy in Buxton! Possibly the world. As a family we have used this pharmacy an awful lot over the past couple of months. Every time and I mean every time we go in, it’s like I don’t exist! No acknowledgment of customers, it’s like we are an inconvenience. Staff are rude, short fused and unhelpful at best. I will be changing my named pharmacy without delay!
Some of the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. As one who actively prescribes and dispenses dozens of medicines daily for my (animal) patients, I can categorically state the consistently poor service is well below par. It appears there is a culture of not striving for even basic standards and in taking pride in their work, with the majority of staff coming across as perpetually ditzy and incompetent, all at an excruciatingly slow pace. Phones can ring for minutes, be acknowledged by the whole team, and still not attended to. Some suppliers to this branch don't deliver some medications until near closing time, which smacks of cost cutting choices by Lloyds centrally, and impacts the efficacy of urgent time-dependent medications. Basic first line and urgent medications are not always in stock anyway. Again, supplier issues but potentially internal stock reviewing is likely to be poor, as this is consistent. Prescriptions are very rarely made up even if received many days in advance of their own internal time frame to dispense. 2 stars because they haven't dispensed the wrong medication to me (yet). Lloyds in Buxton has been so abysmal Lloyds have lost a customer for life - I will be changing pharmacy and actively dissuading all relevant from being customers here.
A busy place, nice staff. Never go here if you are in a rush. Small & basic goods you would expect in a pharmacy. Good dispencery. I use the place a lot.
