Excellent sevice from the pharmacist at Beaconside. She researched the new RSV vaccine for me and made an appointment straight away. I needed it because although I keep myself fit and active I have had severe chest infections this year and last year causing hospital admissions but had to pay privately because the Government do not allow it for over 79 year olds although it is recommended in America for all over 75. Use to really like this chemist but I am constantly chasing for my repeat prescription now. Having to wait 1hour on the phone aswell it's just not good enough. Management need to have someone on the phone or pay more people to work there. Shouldn't have to wait more than 5 minutes on the phone. How can I be caller number 1 for so long!! Easy access via a ramp and the collection point open at all hours is really useful but I'm disappointed with the service. I waited an hour on the phone saying I was position 1 didn't get through gave up. Not good enough at all!! I will have to now go in and chase it and I'm not happy.
It was really easy to make an appointment and on the day of the appointment there was no waiting - my appointment was right on time. The staff were really helpful, and provided some really useful advice, they looked after us brilliantly and explained everything clearly. Both myself and my husband will be using this service again - so much easier than our Doctors and you weren’t made to feel like your time was up.

Each time I’ve used the chemist I have waited over 30min for a single item, during work hours/not before or after work. It’s clear they need another lead pharmacist that can approve prescriptions going out, especially as she also does injections. The forward planning isn’t great and speed of service is very slow. The staff are pleasant enough.
I am new to the area and used this pharmacy for convenience as they are located next the the Doctors surgery. My experience thus far has been unsatisfactory. They take 3 to 5 days to process the prescription that is received electronically from the Doctors. If it is an actute medication that has been prescribed it should be prescribed the same day or the very next day. When it takes 3 to 5 days to process an acute drug it defeats the purpose whilst the patient is suffering. When l queried about the time it takes i was told by the pharmacist that people should learn to manage their expectations. I was taken aback by this response from the pharmacist. I trust the powers to be will be seriously be looking at their working practices.
I have been using this pharmacy for a few years now and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The 24hr collection machine is a bonus and allows me to collect my medication after work or at weekends, which is great as I'm always busy. I would definitely recommend.
The ladies that work there are always so helpful. Make finding what I need very easy and very organised with prescriptions. Never had any issues with my meds. They are very efficient in ensuring medication is available on time whenever possible. They keep the store very tidy and clean which gives me a very good impression of the pharmacy.
