I contacted James as I needed somebody to investigate why the floor in my spare WC was starting to sag underfoot. He found that a mains pipe had been leaking slowly for some time and had rotted away the wooden beams that supported the floor. It had also spread under the wall into the adjoining bedroom. He quickly repaired the leak and cut out all the rotten timbers. He then returned a few weeks later once everything had dried out and completed the work to reconstruct the beams and replace the floor boarding, tiles and carpet tiles, as well as refitting the pedestal sink. It was a difficult job but James was not phased by it at all, and he possessed all the necessary skills to complete all aspects of the repair work, ie plumbing, joinery and tiling, etc. James did a great job and I found him to be very hard working, friendly and easy to get along with. He involved me in any decisions and was totally transparent when it came to costs. I will definitely be using James again and I’m very pleased to have found a handyman with such a broad range of skills.
