This is probably the only thing I'd come to frosts for. Good wide selection of local butchery and food, lavish cheese and high quality baked goods. Good for that occasional date night shop and quick local snack.

Love this place . Food and cakes are fantastic and staff always friendly, nice atmosphere . Prefer it to the main restaurant

Delicious sausage roll. Queue was pretty long to order, but we were grandly rewarded when it arrived. Lightly warmed and served with a light salad garnish. Perfect for a mid afternoon snack! Greeted by some of the characters within the queue too!

The food is expensive but very good, but the service is often very slow. Today my food arrived in 5 minutes, but the drink (diet coke) took 20 minutes! In fact, it was at the counter for 10 minutes, so I got up and collected it myself! Another costumer did the same for their drink.

We drove an hour to get to Frosts after hearing they had finally reopened the cafe as it had been closed for months for renovations. Frosts was a really special place for my partner and I. It is where we met and we had been so excited to go back as when we went in January 2022 we absolutely loved it, the staff were attentive and the cheese board was divine. Unfortunately it was such a disappointing experience this time around. We arrived and were seated at a table, the first disappointment was that the waitress got our order totally wrong.. we ordered drinks (a Sauvignon Blanc and a lemonade). A sparkling water and lemonade arrived. We also ordered a pasty, a sausage roll and a scotch egg. The scotch egg was totally forgotten and never arrived. There were no cheeseboards on the menu which we had been really looking forward to. We also told the waitress how special this trip was for us as we had met here and asked her to take a photo but she never did and not once throughout our time there did she observe any of the tables. People kept getting up eventually to ask for their bills.. we had to do the same. No one came to ask if we were okay or how the food was. Nothing. We tried making eye contact but kept getting ignored.. and it wasn’t even busy. The food itself was alright for a pie….. but that’s all it was. Nothing special. Nothing like we remember. We left utterly disappointed both with the service and cafe as a whole especially considering how long it was closed for we expected some time and effort to go into making a guests experience one worth remembering. It wasn’t.

Much much better than the main restaurant which was noisy and not really friendly. Staff just trying to pack people in. Eatery was quiet, staff friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

Went after Christmas, very busy and had to queue for a little while, was well organised and soon led to a table. Only had cake and coffee both delicious, the staff were very polite and made us feel welcome
