    They get the job done! But just be prepared for it to take a long time. It's not their fault so much as it is just a long process to get your VAT numbers. The application process is thorough and one issue will push things back a long way. Just be very patient with AVASK.

    Our experience with AVASK has unfortunately been very negative. Over time we have encountered repeated billing errors, including duplicate invoices and incorrect items listed, which have caused unnecessary confusion and wasted time. The customer service has been extremely EXTREMELY poor: replies arrive with significant DELAY OF WEEKS or MONTHS, and when they do, they are often ambiguous and unhelpful, showing no real intention to solve the issues raised. Furthermore, there seems to be a serious lack of internal organisation, which becomes evident not only in the way matters are handled but also in the tone of the emails received β€” often dismissive and showing little respect for the client. The overall impression is one of neglect, disorganisation, and unwillingness to provide proper assistance, which makes working with AVASK frustrating and unprofessional. We cannot recommend AVASK to any company or individual who values seriousness, efficiency, and genuine customer care.

    AVASK has consistently failed to deliver even the most basic level of service expected from a professional consultancy. Their billing practices are highly questionable β€” I have received charges for invoices that were neither clearly explained nor backed by proper documentation. Repeated attempts to obtain clarity on these charges were ignored. The lack of transparency and accountability creates the impression of practices that, at best, are careless and, at worst, could be perceived as deliberately misleading. Customer support is essentially non-existent. Unless you pay for an expensive premium tier, you are denied phone access and are forced to rely on a ticket system that often takes weeks, if not longer, to generate a response. Even when replies eventually arrive, they frequently ignore parts of the inquiry or provide vague, incomplete answers that do nothing to resolve the original issue. This makes it virtually impossible to rely on AVASK for time-sensitive compliance matters. The company also demonstrates a troubling lack of transparency when it comes to regulatory updates. Critical information, such as changes in tax requirements, is often communicated at the last possible moment and without any practical solutions. Rather than proactively supporting their clients, AVASK seems content to issue generic notices that shift the burden entirely back onto the customer. Overall, AVASK’s approach is unprofessional, unresponsive, and unreliable. Their processes create unnecessary stress and wasted time, while offering little in return. Any business considering them should think carefully before committing, as there are far more competent and trustworthy providers in the market.

    Frequent Fraud - No communication - Autocharging Invoices I have been an Avask customer . Our card is repeatedly charged randomly for random invoices, that you can't even ask someone what they're for. I have asked them to stop auto-charging - no response, I have asked them what they're for - no response. I think that this business is predicated on a financial model where they continue to bill customers & makeup charges until they've had enough. The billing invoices and line items are clearly made up by some exec who thinks people won't know what they're up to. I am in a few communities and their antics are well known. The phone lines are permanently offline.

    They have the worst customer service, I have been 3 years with Avask for self-service VAT fillings and I cannot contact them directly by phone, because it is only for premium clients. I can only contact by sending thousands of tickets and wait several days or weeks for a solution. Several months ago I was thinking of hiring their premium service, but I cannot trust them after all bad experiences. Now, with the new Italian guarantee of 50.000€ required for extra-UE companies, they did not warn us in advance, they only published a post 2 weeks before the submission deadline and don't offer any insurance company to cover this guarantee required to keep our italian VAT numbers. The email I got from Avask literally says "If you cannot deposit the sum of EUR 50,000 you should deregister the Italian VAT number, but previously you have to call back the good from the Italian warehouses", instead of offering a feasable solution to keep our business in Italy...

    They have not complied with the filing of forms in time and on time with the tax office, causing a series of economic damages; reason: you only pay a basic fee. In addition, when they offer to submit the forms after the deadline, they demand an additional fee, which is not exactly cheap.

    Don't Use for EU VAT - Avask are a nightmare to deal with and you'll wait for ever while you wait for them to communicate with the company in Spain they outsource the work to. So far we've waited 15 months for our Spanish VAT refund! Avask outsource this to another company. Although we were told multiple times that we just needed to wait, after a whole year we were told that this company had not created our VAT account correctly and we needed to start with all the paperwork again from the beginning. Avask have accepted responsibility but so far will not recompense us for our true loss (they offered a low amount instead). If this changes this review will be updated accordingly. Update 1 March 2023 - now waited 20 months. Still no Spanish VAT refund, still chasing them. Avask have asked for yet more paperwork (after telling us numerous times that they already had everything that was required) saying the Spanish authorities have requested this. 6 weeks ago we asked for evidence that the Spanish authorities had really asked for this additional paperwork (including a copy of every invoice for every item sold on Amazon...). So far they have not provided the evidence, or even replied..... will post again if they do. Update 10th March - they have now replied to ask for payment for services, still nothing relating to the Spanish VAT refund..... Update 16th March - If I do nothing I will probably wait for ever, so I have now phoned around some other accountants that deal with Spanish VAT and explained the problems we are having with AVASK and the company in Spain that they outsource the work to. Within an hour on the phone I found out the name of the document that Avask have not been able to find in the past 9 weeks!! I let Avask know the name of this document and asked them to verify this is indeed what they want. I got a message saying they would reply.... that's it, not an actual reply with anything useful, just that they will reply (sometime in the distant future if the past is anything to go by...), and another asking for payment for services again... Unbelievably, on their website they still claim to the EU VAT experts. I will keep updating as things (hopefully) progress.

    We are customers since 2018 for our foreignt VAT filing and handling. Communication has always been difficult. We had to pay some fines because of late filing several times, getting the numbers so late, that we literally only had 2-3 days sometimes to do all checks and payments. As of late it became much WORSE: Since July 2022 our amazon account is closed due to VAT irregularities. AVASK claims that they filed everything correctly, however reading the many bad reviews I am quite suspecious. Also they dont seem to make much of an effort to resolve this issue. Now since October 2022 our spanish account has problems, because they lacked to renew our spanisch VAT ID in time. Again they couldnt care less and take it with great ease, pointing to colleague who is in her holidays. And we need to re-register (which takes many months). All because they did not take the responsibilities seriously. Also I am waiting since 3 weeks to finally get an old missing VAT report, that I ams chasing up again and again, without any luck. They would not even give a credit for this. Avoid at all costs, or pay the price!!

    Literally, the worst. If you can find someone - anyone - else to file your VAT for you, I would. They weren't great to work with and it was always difficult to get anyone to respond to questions. But the kicker for me was...I sold my company last year and told them I was no longer in need of their services yet they continued to charge me (FOR A FULL YEAR) and when I tried to get in touch with someone to get this corrected, no one got back to me. Still waiting for my refunds....

    worst tax company I've ever had to deal with. They missed filing my annual report and then I have to chase after them for months with many many many emails. I got a tax penalty because of it and had to file with a separate company by the time I found out. Stay away if you value your time and money. They are the worst company. They are not accountable for anything they miss, and you are dead to them once you move on. I try to get a refund for the penalty and for the late filing fee for late report but they don't reply and ghost you or just reply with incomplete information wasting hours of your time. The kind of business practices that show you are just a number to them and try to outlast you by not replying to emails, wearing you down to the point you forget about things, or and just plainly would rather forget about $300 or so euro they owe you because going after them with emails is fruitless or takes thousands of dollars more worth your time. They break you down with lack of progress in resolving matters taking months sometimes. It’s like a toxic relationship with your boyfriend or girlfriend except these are supposed to be people you are paying to take care of you! I would not recommend at all.
