Paid £162 for a “deep clean” from Molly Maid Burton — and what we received was shockingly poor. Our house is already professionally cleaned every two weeks, so it was in a very clean and manageable condition. Yet in three hours of labour (two cleaners for 90 minutes), they only managed to clean 3 rooms: the kitchen, ensuite, and main bedroom. The living room, dining room, study, second bedroom and main bathroom were completely untouched. To be clear: I didn’t expect every room to be deep cleaned — but to only complete 3 in three hours is a joke. And the quality wasn’t there either. I have photos showing visible dust and grime left in the ensuite — one of the few rooms they did clean. The cleaners also left early, confirmed by Ring footage, and I spent the first 5–10 minutes briefing them, which cut even further into actual cleaning time. My wife was shocked when they announced they were leaving and dashed out the door so quick before we could say anything. When I raised all this, the franchise owner responded with a patronising, arrogant tone, refused to accept any fault, and offered only a token £18 refund for the time missed. Instead of trying to resolve things, he made it very clear that he intended to publicly reply to any negative review rather than fix the problem. He even claimed there’s “no head office” — despite being part of the Molly Maid UK franchise network. Since we paid upfront, we placed trust in them and the money was not the issue. But after received such appalling service and communication we feel scammed. Very poor value, worse attitude. If you want proper cleaning or basic professionalism — look elsewhere.

Staff and cleaning services are acceptable for the high charges you will pay … the franchise owners response however to any questions relating to moving dates or queries regarding your clean is extremely poor. Basically they don’t accept criticism …. so they clearly are oversubscribed and cannot cope with changes to their schedule . Being a business woman myself for over 30 years …. I believe the customer care should be a business priority… these franchises do not think that way. So only employ their services if you do not wish to change anything from the moment they start as they will simply become unresponsive and negative if you do. The cleaners… in my opinion should work for a better orchestrated organisation

AVOID THIS COMPANY Terrible service, nothing was cleaned at all. Basic marks like coffee stain on a windowsill and water marks on the hob were left. Literally couldn’t even tell they’d been and we paid £150. The end of tenancy clean which was so poor that we have been further charged by our letting agents for cleaning. Complained to the company and were told that results can not be guaranteed. To pay £150 for a deep clean and they didn't even wipe down the counters? Disgusting. (booking was made under my partners name hence why they 'can't find the booking' but rest assured we did use this terrible service.

They came in and tailored a custom cleaning routine and schedule to suit my family and our budget perfectly. They take care of all the details and leaves the house shinning and bright every time. I was surprised about how "clean" everything was (there was no cleaning residue on anything). I don't believe any other cleaning service could match their professionalism, personality and the custom designed work they do on my individual home.
