(resubmitted review as it was accidentally deleted, original review date January 2021) I live in Southampton but spend most of my time in Frankfurt, Germany for work. I wanted to get my bike ready for the summer season over here in Germany. It had a couple of problems and it needed a service and MOT. After a brief search on Google I came across Shaun's number at automotive. One of the problems I thought my bike had was valve clearances, in fact I thought I'd bounced valve. After a quick call with Shaun he stated he would not do work that was unnecessary and would like to see the bike to make a diagnosis before agreeing to carry out any work. He sounded very professional, friendly and most of all genuine. I knew this was the place I wanted to use. I was not disappointed. Upon arrival, Shaun quickly stated that the valve clearances were not the problem and didn't need doing, the bike was quickly repaired, serviced and MOT'd. He could've quite easily taken the work on and done the valve clearances to squeeze some extra money out of me but he didn't. I was very pleased with the service at automotive and confident that the bike is ready for another hard summer season here on the continent, with regular trips max'd out on the autobahn and weekend trips to the Nurburgring. Since my original review, Shaun has become my 'go-to' guy for anything mechanical, including work on my campervan and my daughters car. He even talked me through replacing the intercooler my campervan over video call when I had an issue with it here in Germany. I cannot recommend him enough, and will continue to use him in the future.

Will Definitely use Again Shaun was recommended to me by a friend to sort out my 200 Daytona. This is the version with the charging issues and had been standing for around 18 months. He has completely re-wired the charging circuit which is where the problem stems from and has completed all other works required to gain an MoT, which the bike now has. Shaun picked up a number of issues that I was unaware of and discussed sorting those before doing anything, including a leaking cam cover gasket and new rear disc/pads. A friendly guy who will find out if he doesn't know the answer and will discuss everything with you, including showing you the work done to make sure you're happy. The price was very good too.
Contacted Shaun to repair paint and fit second hand body that was sourced from another vehicle, he took on the task with no hesitation. I found him to be very friendly and extremely professional. He told me that the repairs could be done and they came out extremely well, you wouldn't notice they had been remoulded and reshaped. Time and dedication from Shaun on this and he has done a fantastic job. Astra body kit painted and fitted with the help of me, very professional and knowledgeable when fitting these parts as they were second hand and they didn't align correctly. These were done 3 weeks ago and come out very well. Changes the look of the car completely. Very happy with how they have turned out. Thanks again. Top job again
I have used Shaun for a number of years now. I would recommend him for your repairs. He is honest and reliable. The black hornet, in his photos is my bike. It runs like a dream.
