   What an absolute disgraceful service. Today - 20/07/25. Sunday, 11am, 10 people. The place was dead, we can all see now. The lady’s attitude and body language is shocking!! Management seriously need to have a conversation with her. Our whole group felt the same way. Put a damper on our morning. AVOID at all costs

   The service was absolutely awful, deserving zero stars. We waited for a simple coffee, and although the waitress told us she would take our order in five minutes, she never came. We left politely, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

   Taproom it is not. A massive disappointment for a 'Taproom', only run of the mill commercial beers on tap, Tennants etc, had to settle for Brewdog Punk (yawn). The Taproom is located within the golf club which is odd but I think this explains the lack of atmosphere too. The food was mixed reviews, club sandwich was massive and great but my bacon roll was pathetic and it wasn't cheap! Couldn't fault the staff, very nice and attentive. I wish I had taken our family back to the Newburgh Inn at the end of the road. I've been to the OGV Taproom in Aberdeen and it was not great either, will not be back to an OGV unless they sort out their taps with some nice IPAs, Stouts etc

   First visit to OVG at Newburgh Golf Club. Really disappointed as son taking me out to celebrate birthday. Staff nice but waited 40mins for two of our 4 meals then another 5mins for the 3rd and asked what the 4th order was again…. Then had to wait another 15/20mins for it to arrive and the chips weren’t what was ordered. Couldn’t be bothered saying anything. Waitress did apologise but when son paid no offer of discount at all. Club sandwich was just huge amount of bread and really dry, salad non existent but chips good, nachos disappointing and chicken burger Ok. My partner’s burger was ok but seeing received so long after the rest of us wasn’t great. There are other options in Newburgh with better food and not so long a wait. When the service is as disappointing as today we shouldn’t have to ask for a discount. That should be offered ….. but obviously not policy. Shame !
