Such a friendly pub with a warm welcome. Serves the best Christmas lunch we've ever had (outside of the home). Everything is homemade, and boy to can you tell the difference! Thank you all so much. We will be back.
A very cosy locals pub. The public bar is quite small. The other larger area is set up as a restaurant so I would imagine that the food is really good. I go there for the particular beer. Fullers ESB! There are hardly any pubs serving ESB. It is in a particularly lovely location and it is nice to sit outside when the weather permits.
Well, been here before, and never been dissapointed. This evening was a Dad Daughter night, excellent service from the moment we walked in, drinks and menus on the table almost as quickly as we were. Not just a standard pub menu, this was a proper menu, standard pub grub +++++ an excellent specials menu. If you want fast food, probably not for you, if you want good food well cooked and presented then book a table. We'll be back (again) soon.
Another great Sunday roast dinner at The Castle. All cooked to perfection. I had the roast pork belly which was delicious and had a great crackling. My wife had the roast chicken wrapped in bacon which was also delicious and nicely cooked and very succulent. A great selection of vegetables and very decent portions too. A delicious lime cheesecake with vanilla ice cream finished off the meal nicely! All attractively presented and delivered with polite and friendly service.
Really good food, portion sizes are amazing! Can't wait to go back

We did have to wait for our food but it was very busy and when the food arrived it was 5 star we had the fillet steak and I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had would highly recommend this lovely pub the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Fantastic food and vegan friendly! Sharing the menus here as could not easily find on the web but quite a few plant based options. Fantastic, friendly service too - thank you! We shall be back
