    I've purchased from New Purbrook Garden this evening for my daughter birthday and the food was the worst food I've had. It was very obvious that the Crispy shredded chicken was days old and refried again and was oil soaked and hard and so was the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. The sauces was like gloop! I called to complain and the woman admitted that the chicken was stale and days old , that they were not freshly fried, as they had fried them put them in the freezer and re- deep fried them, this was left over chicken that didn't sell the previous day or couple of days. Even the flour batter was hard, saggy and not chewable. She offered me 10% off my next order! I told her I wanted 50% of the £67.40 that was spend on the total order as the party group had eaten some other items that was included in the total order. But I returned all of the chicken ordered to them and got half my total order price back. Will never buy from them again. I just hope she doesn't sell them to some unsuspecting customer.

    Food is generally very tasty and of good quality but if Kate they appear to be selling chips that are clearly left over from the previous days!! They are dried up, tasteless and inedible!!

    It says in there website: "You need to spend £12 or more to order for delivery". That's fine, tried to order on the website - no delivery option, we instead called up to be told that they don't do deliveries... Maybe change your website to prevent misleading - or just simply do deliveries in order to keep custome! We wanted delivery out of lasyness and a busy day flying from abroad, but there are many people that may not have mobility to enjoy the food here... Went to another Chinese that does deliveries instead!

    My first visit here for a long time today, and I cannot fault the ordering experience nor the food. My only gripe, which really isn't much to get excited about, is the spelling errors on their online ordering site, but I'm a proof reader so notice these errors. I would be happy to give the owner some of my time to help them correct these mistakes if they'd like me to, free of charge to them.

    Ordered bbq ribs and chips,cost £8.30 ,5 ribs two of which almost complete bone ,hardly any sauce to speak of,surely it doesn’t cost a lot to put a decent amount of sauce in the tub.disgusting will not be using again

    I have been using this restaurant for the last few years. Usually is good service and food. I placed an order this evening. After thinking it seemed quite expensive I checked the order against the menu prices and it looked like I’d Been over charged by more than £10. I call the restaurant back to find out the prices on the menu I had was wrong which I was happy to pay the difference. I had also been charged for two items that I only wanted one of. Instead of offering me the difference back which is £7.10 they offered me £4. Which I though was ridiculous so I asked for a full refund which they refused saying the driver had already left. I obviously wasn’t happy with this and refused. Saying I would politely bring the food back to collect my refund. The gentleman delivered the food then offered me the £4 which I declined. Then he received a phone call and took the food back. I called back the restaurant and was given a full refund. I’m bemused why they would rather take the food away and receive no payment than give me the difference back which was their mistake in the first place. Very confusing and very poor customer service.

    First of all, the person on the phone/behind the counter was absolutely lovely and really friendly and I felt awful complaining to him, but unfortunately I had no other choice as the food was inedible. This is absolutely the worst chinese I have ever had, I actually bagged it back up and took it straight back to the shop. The curry sauce was like a big blob in a container, its consistency was that of mashed potato. The noodles were so overcooked they were mushy and they looked like they had anemia - the chicken in the chow mein really gave me the heebie-jeebies. The chips were so solid I could have used them as chopsticks - for what food? Who knows. But they would have made a pretty solid utensil. Not to mention every dish was as warm as if someone had just taken a deep breath and blown on it for as long as they could to heat it up. I would avoid this takeaway and recommend others to do the same.

    Excellent service. Made a telephone order for delivery and it was taken with ease. Was not specified how long it would take, but to my surprise it only took 25 minutes on a Saturday evening! Food was very enjoyable. Duck chinese style is always a must for me - it was perfect. Also massive chicken wings made my night. Thank you, look forward to ordering again.
