AVOID - once they have your mobile number you get spammed by texts several times a week. Unsubscribe doesn't work, Block and report junk doesn't work, contacting the restaurant directly doesn't work. There are equally good places to order from without getting hassled week in week out for 6 months so far. Also had an increase in scam calls... i wonder why??
Complete rip off, not only does their website not offer all the meals but it clearly states that you can pay by card when you pick up!! That is not true as they told me son he would need to get cash, as the cash machine next door has no money we were about to leave when the guy came out saying it's fine we can take card why then did he initially say no?? Then we got home realising that he overcharged us, completely unacceptable and a disgrace! Will not buy from this takeaway ever again
Have been ordering take out from Monsoon for some time. Food has always been too a good standard. My only issue is that last 3 orders have arrived between 30-60 minutes late and tonight's delivery had a meal missing. After a phone call this was delivered but meant we had to wait to eat together. Like I mentioned, food is always of a good standard, just wonder if Monsoon are unable to cope with their popularity. A phone call, an offer of an apology, goes a long way - may be worth bearing in mind Monsoon.
In August, we ordered a takeaway on Monsoon’s website. It never turned up, turned out they were shut due to a water leak but were still allowing orders on their website! Almost £100 debited my account but I was unsure when or if I would get it back. A few days later, I did get it back. Thankfully! We were told they would make it up to us so we thought we’d give them another chance. After messaging to find out if they would offer discount as a goodwill gesture after their promise to make it up to us, we received no response BUT we always enjoyed the food so thought we’d order anyway. Well, we ordered around 18:00 on Saturday for delivery between 19:10 and 19:30. It got to 19:45 and it hadn’t arrived so we thought oh no, not again! Wondered if they were even open! We phoned them and were told it’s on its way. 8pm came and still nothing so phoned them but this time told it was just about to leave! It finally arrived at 8:15 but with dishes missing!! So once again we had to phone them. They did deliver the missing dishes but as you can imagine, it wasn’t an enjoyable meal with everyone having to eat at different times! After two nightmare experiences with Monsoon, I don’t think we would order again! Unless we were feeling really brave!
So ordered a takeaway last night and it was delivered like this! Called the restaurant and the guy on the phone kicked off at me telling me it’s not his problem! No offer of remaking it just contact Deliveroo! Poor show! Won’t be using again the food was a disgrace and the delivery driver said it was like that when he got it!
Ended up changing from delivery to collection as was told there was no minimum for delivery and they were going to charge me £3.95for delivery. When I arrived to collect I saw on the menu that it was free delivery over £15. Bit frustrating. Good food though
Really good! Big portions tasty and the service with a smile. As difficult customers (we don't eat onions) they were able to cater for us well (even made a fresh salad without onions) Highly recommended!
Fantastic food, brilliant service. Went in and placed my order as I'm local. Very quick and staff were friendly and very informative. 100% the best indian takeaway in the Waterlooville area, lucky for me its just up the road. Will be ordering here again to try some other dishes! Highly recommended
