Best Chinese in area. It's still the best as of February 2022. October 2023, as good as previously, had an excellent meal. June 2025 and still the best Chinese locally, was able to seat us at short notice this time as our original option fell through. Really good service from the young lady who served us.
Normally set meals seem to be made up of stuff that doesn't sell to well, here is definitely not like that! The food is outstanding without the overwhelming hit of MSG that goes with some Chinese restaurants. The staff and service at this place are excellent and the food comes out exactly on time. Stanley restaurant is a higher end establishment with an excellent atmosphere. The menu is quite contemporary and the food is very well presented. A person would not be disappointed by a visit here
Went as a slightly drunk table of 8 and ordered the banquet. The food was really good. The young girl who served us was really friendly and delt with us perfectly. I'd definitely recommend a visit.
I went here with my family for my bday celebrations after reading all the positive reviews and wished I’d never went. The owner, Stanley was arrogant and just seemed plain rude from the moment we walked in. We went there with our young children, oldest was 12 and the youngest was 3 and as soon as he saw us, his face just turned sour. My children throughout the night were very well behaved but it did seem like we were walking around egg shells every time my 3 year old started talking in case it upset the owner. The atmosphere was unpleasant and I felt awful just being there and even at one point saying to my husband we should just walk out after the starters. Overall the food was nice but the atmosphere and welcome we received was awful. Never had this experience in a restaurant before.
Outstanding! Food was just the nicest Chinese food I have eaten! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back and try some more food from the menu!
Friendly owner and a lovely atmosphere. Easy to get to with parking to the rear. A lovely range of food is on offer, from the classics to some fancier dishes. There's some nicely thought out banquets with a good variety of meals and the owner is always accommodating. It's a nice place for a quiet date or a work night out!
