Interior hasn't changed on over 10 years I think but it's add to the charm, still best chips in Hull been going strong since I was a lil one

It is a great little place. The staff are friendly and polite. The prices are reasonable. The food is good quality and tasty. Theres a good range of food, drinks and sauces to choose from. The seating area is cleaned regularly, and the bathrooms are kept clean and tidy.
The food can be delicious when you manage to get it fresh and hot. Occasionally though you end up with barely warm fries that just taste awful. Sometimes your order gets lost from the till to the kitchen directly behind it and you end up waiting way longer than you should until you see the person who came in after you get the same thing you ordered before you and you remind the staff of your order, then it's just another 5-10 minutes from then. Overall I usually have a better experience than not but the place could use a little brightening up rather than looking like it's back in the 90's with a dreary grim yellow hue to it.
I ordered a meal from Yankeeland at around 14:46. The order was taking too long so I decided to cancel the order and there was no option for a refund which I feel as though is not fair. I have just spent £23.65 on a meal I did not get to eat.
What has happened to this place?! It was all about the lovely chip spice and chocolate milkshakes. Both of which taste very generic now. Paying £9 for a basic cheeseburger, chips and a drink is very overpriced. Also the cleanliness isn't great. Can't say I'll be quick to return.
I use to love coming here, came tonight tho and wish I’d not bothered. Ordered chicken nuggets, 2x chips and a double chicken burger. The lady serving was friendly and polite. The shop is clean and presentable. When she asked me did I want sauce on my cheeseburger? I said I don’t order a cheeseburger I ordered a double chicken burger. She apologised and had a chicken burger made for me. The chips were dry and far too much chip salt on, the chicken nuggets were also covered in chip spice and the chicken burger was very bland.
