    Second visit, first was lovely, not so this time, my curry was OK but was a little lacking in meat content!! My wife's was nothing like what was ordered, butter chicken, sauce looked like pureed melon or rhubarb and was overly sweet, chef was not bothered 'what can I do' disappointing following our first experience

    I recently visited this restaurant looks a fantastic environment from outside. But when i came inside and ordered food what i see the owner of restaurant is insulting the order taker in front of me without any logic. Second thing they charged me more. What i see online, they are charging totally different. After taking food at home when i tried to open it what i see lamb curry don't have pieces of lambs just 3 to 4 pieces in whole box. Could you imagine the size of chapati it's too small and they charged me £2.75 for one chapati. I think i eat most expensive chapati in whole UK. Overall, Experience for me is not good as i remain hungry and food quality is just like lamb in water.

    I ordered for collection, they told me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived once the 30 minutes had passed and spoke to the staff, they told me it would be ready in 5 minutes and to take a seat. We spoke to the staff a total of 5 times during the time sat there, as it resulted in us sitting there for an hour. Each time we spoke to them they told us it was coming and only 5 minutes. One member of staff told us a table had just ordered so it has delayed ours, after we had been sat there already for 30 minutes and another member of staff said what can you do? After being sat there for 50 minutes, I asked again where my food was, and a member of staff told us that they hadn’t seen our order and had started making it 15 minutes ago. No one told us this before this moment and once the food had arrived they tried to offer us a beer as compensation for waiting 1.5 hours total for our food, when this should have been only 30 minutes. Awful service and you could tell the food had been rushed as the curry was very watery and runny.

    Under cooked lamb sent out for delivery. When I asked for a refund they only refunded the lamb rogan josh not the rice and Naan. I'd give zero stars if I could.

    First and last experience with hessle tandoori. Ordered over £40 worth of food online with a 45 minute delivery time. Order eventually came 1.5hours later with missing items. Rang to tell them and they said they would get the delivery driver to drop them off. 20 minutes later, still not here. After being told a million times how busy they are (not a paying customers problem) I was told I would get a call back in 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes go by so I call back and get the phone put down on me as soon as I tell them my address. My partner rings and gets told how busy they are another 6,365 times. And that they will give us the missing items for free on our next order (next joke, we will not be ordering again). I tried to explain that a takeaway customer is still a paying customer, just like those in the restaurant and if I was sat in the restaurant I wouldn’t be happy waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes at this point and also wouldn’t be happy to pay for cold food whilst the rest of my order was still MIA 40 minutes after letting them know. Every person we spoke to (about 3 men in total) was all as rude as each other and I can’t believe the money we’ve paid for cold food. Will absolutely NEVER eat here again!

    A lovely friendly curry house. The food is excellent, with a vast menu that you're sure to find something you'll love. Really good value. Not over posh, so you are really made to feel welcome.

    It took 1.5hrs from us arriving to receiving the meals... Very slow service! It appeared to be 1 person front off house and 1 person in the kitchen. There were only 3 tables with people on (a total of 10 customers in the reasturant) and it still took 1.5hrs to get our food. I completely appreciate lack of staffing is sometimes uncontrollable but there should have been a word of warning when we arrived or they shouldn't have opened. Some of the curries were lovely, some were very bland. They use the excuse "our card machine has broken" ... which is the same excuse they have used for years! They are always cash only which is wrong for a sit down reasturant.

    It was once good but now its gone downhill. The worst? service, I had to wait forever for my food despite ordering inside the restaurant, I asked twice where my food was after watching main courses arrive at tables that ordered after me. Eventually I was given my food only to find it cold by the time I got home. I will never use this place again. Overpriced and poor.
