Chewy meat in the fried rice, soggy sweet and sour balls, salt and pepper chips hardly any flavour. If anything it lacked salt and flavour which is unusual for a Chinese takeaway. Sorry but I won’t be ordering again.
We had our weekly Chinese on Friday night and it was brilliant as always. Always arrives hot, plenty of meat and lovely flavours. Wouldn't go anywhere else! Thanks happy house ❤️
Disappointed is an underestimate! Sweet and sour king prawn ...batter was that soggy it was like glue , sauce was like a lump of jelly stone cold as was the curry sauce .Singapore fried rice, struggled to find any meat and again cold ...
I love their food !! Been on a diet since Jan 1st 2024 .. lost 50 lb and on day 363 - it’s Happy House as my 1st takeaway this year (2024) I would go nowhere else : ) Outstanding !
Great food, great service, great experience! I was blown away with what we got for a very low price. My partner and I had one szechuan beef and vegetable dish each with a fried rice to share. The containers were all full to the top and everything was piping hot. What we had was delicious, well prepared, full of flavour and the beef was so tender! I've spent more at similar places and not received food as nice, or as good portions as I did here. Also the staff are very friendly and professional.
Value for money is great. Never had a bad meal and we've been regular customers for over a year now. The owners are so friendly and cheerful. We don't even entertain the idea of going somewhere else for food!
Was so looking forward to having chinese from reviews. Was the worst l have ever had. Tasteless chops dry a d scrappy. Very dissapointed.
Travelled from South Cave to visit, excellent food and extremely friendly staff. The food didn’t feel or taste greasy like my usual takeaways and was really fresh. We ordered: salt and pepper chips, spring rolls, prawn crackers, 2 chow meins, 1 egg fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and beef fillet in Cantonese sauce and it only came to £29.70! Such good value and will definitely make the trip again to visit!
Used Happy House for the first time tonight, I was disappointed, the food was piping hot, but lacked taste, I ordered a House Special, which should as you know include, Beef, Pork, Chicken & Prawn. No sign of any beef too much chicken also far far too many onions and sauce very watery. I'll stick to my usual Chinese takeaway. Sorry I hate to down star.
