Spent a lot of money for Christmas Day only to be ignored, poor service, At the carvery I had to ask for yorkshires, roast spuds, parsnips, cauliflower cheese and cranberry sauce, nothing was ready and what was left out was cold. Cauliflower cheese turned up 5 minutes later, after they had checked with the bar that I had ordered these as they are extra. We had to search for a waitress and I had to ask for the table to be emptied so we could get our carvery, we then had to ask for the main to be emptied so we could have our pudding but that didn’t come for a good ten minutes. Very poor service throughout, this is the 3rd Christmas in a row, but this was very poor compared to other years. Will go elsewhere next year where they value your trade.

Great customer service. Had a late lunch with the family here about 3pm. I had the big Stack Burger, kids had a pizza between them, wife had a flatbread with chicken. Burger was excellent - 2 quarter pounders, slightly smashed, with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon and gherkins. Bun was a brioche bun but had been lightly toasted so it was slightly crunchy on the outside, avoiding the horrible soggy brioche buns you often see elsewhere. Having the burgers slightly smashed meant it was of a good size but not so big I couldn't get it in my mouth. Loaded fries with that were Korean chicken fries - normal skin on fries but with a cut up chicken goujon, some chili peppers and Korean chilli sauce. Wasn't sure what to expect with that as usually loaded fries means there'll be cheese but I think the Korean fries were pretty good. Extra kudos goes to the barmaid who served us - I'd ordered Doom Bar and she'd rung it up before discovering it was off, so I had Guinness instead & she forgave me the difference, which was jolly decent, and also when I asked for 2 plates so my kids could share their pizza, she offered to get it cut in 2 and served up on them, half on each, so I think she deserves a bit of recognition for going the extra mile to make us welcome. Definitely recommend this place. Also the sundaes, which I didn't have but the others in the party did, were reportedly "to die for". Decent sizes, brought over reasonably quickly. Good value for money, good scran.

Short stay while visiting friends in hull. All you can eat buffet breakfast £11. Basic meals which were pretty good in the evening. Rooms are very comfortable , clean and a reasonable size. We will stay here again .

The Carvery is very poor. The Chef does not operate a clean utensil policy and cross contamination is plain to see. Knives are not swapped for different meats and all surfaces are rife with old food and flies. The coffee area is also full of flies and all surfaces are greasy or full of spilt sugary drinks. Very poor.

Beautiful place. Lovely clean environment and friendly staff. Great experience, the food portion was fantastic and very well organised and presented. Good value for money. Everyone looked happy to be there. Highly recommended

We were just of the Rotterdam to Hull boat, so breakfast was important. We were greeted by a friendly manager who explained the possibilities and prices. It was essentially a no fuss experience and we were glad of a decent cuppa and some good food. We were even entertained by the peacock preening itself outside. Pleasant and recommended experience.

We were sent a deal for one free meal from the festive menu. We booked lunch for three. Arrived on time and taken to table immediately. Quickly checked the menu before ordering at the bar. Seen immediately and order taken. We had turkey meal, salmon, Beef Wellington, Christmas pud, sherry trifle, choc orange sundae and soft drinks. Didn't wait too long for main meals. All hot, tasty and well presented. Wife complained that there were too many potatoes! I missed roast parsnips that were not included. The desserts were large, except for Christmas pudding that was small in comparison. Overall, a very pleasant meal at a very reasonable price, with very good customer service. The festive menu is highly recommended.

Looking a little tired these days in here now. When we visited it was quiet but a lot of places are like this since covid times. Food has dropped in portion size and quality a little too. I had a Yorkshire pud meal but most of the surface area was devoid of filling. It was nice enough but a little more mash and peas at least required here chaps!

Usually love it here for my children. But last night I thought the service was a shambles and when I politely said when paying a nearly £200 bill, Ian said yeah we're short staffed, what more do you want me to do.... whilst walking away shaking his head and storming into the kitchen. We arrived at 4:45 and our mains took over a hour and then we thought we would chance the puddings which took over half an hour, we received apple pie and custard on a side plate. And despite the server passing us the puddings not one dinner plate got moved. Walking around you could see the whole restaurant was in the same boat but majority of tables was empty, it was probably the quietest it's ever been but service still shocking. Working in hospitality myself, communication to the customer prior and an apology would of made us feel more in the loop, but walking out feeling like we couldn't put our expierance across I think is disgusting.
