We were catching the hull to Rotterdam ferry called here to get our fish and chips before boarding. Great service very friendly. Freshly cooked very good and reasonably priced. Parked at the country park in Hessle to eat them.
Second visit, chips very good, fish not fresh / no taste, and not drained correctly. Will not be returning.....
Came through the door and they was very welcoming. Placed my order and they were patient about me going bank first (cash only). Got home still piping hot. I ordered a fish cake and chips with scraps. The fish cake was fluffy and nice and the chips were 10/10 and finally scraps were good. I would recommend going here. I will be going back soon. Overall 10/10 no negatives.

Shocking! Didn't listen to what I asked for. Forgot the curry sauce. When returned they never had curry sauce anyway. Fish was on the small side and thin although ordered large Hadock, very wet, think previously frozen. Batter soggy on the fish. Chips stale, most went in the bin. Staff more interested in cleaning up than listening and serving the customer's. Won't be returning. Cave Street is the best in the area by far.
Best fish and chips found on our recent return visit to England, and we ate fish and chips almost every night. Lucky find as my previous favorite place in Hull was closed and this was even better. Can't wait to return
We had two small fish and chips on Friday night, so impressed! The chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and the fish was lightly coated in a crispy batter, with the fish itself being super juicy. Very reasonably priced too! 10/10 would go again!
Fabulous food! It was very busy, but they got through the queue quickly enough, whilst being very chirpy. Reasonably priced and with friendly service, I can definitely recommend this place :) Note: only accepting cash atm
Best fish and chips I have had in a long time! Fish was succulent and delicious. Batter light and wonderfully crispy. Chips we're excellent too. Portions are extremely generous and prices very reasonable. Premises clean and bright and staff lovely and friendly. A great new addition to the area.
