do not recommend this college at all, withdrew me from a course and seemed more focused on moving me along rather than helping with my needs. very discriminatory
I would not have achieved what I have without the staff here. When I left school, I had no gcse's. I came here 2 years after I left school, due to family issues impacting my studies at previous colleges, and the staff here were so supportive. I achieved my gcse in english, which I never thought i would get, as well as DDM in Health and Social Care at level 3. I also was awarded student of the year, student of the month, and received a vocational specialist achievement award - all in the same year. I'm at uni now doing a masters in education, having secured an upper second class in my undergrad last year. I cannot thank these teaching staff enough for supporting me the way they did, both academically and personally.
Built in 2016 this is a modern college situated close to Newcastle town centre. Providing a wide range of academic, vocational and apprenticeship qualifications from entry to degree level.
Studied a foundation degree here in Mechanical engineering. Compared to my last college it was a huge improvement here. Dave Halliwell is the man! Helpful and nothing is too much of a problem for him.

Communication with this college is terrible. Student absence line and main reception do not pick up when you call. I dropped out within a year because it got very difficult for me to complete my coursework to a good standard. And not one staff member seemed concerned about that? Not one call or anything from them asking why I had stopped attending. They would also change your timetable out of nowhere, so this is a nightmare if you also have a job alongside this. I found it very irritating that they would make you come in for 1 two hour lesson one day a week— couldn’t this have been done online? Staff members in H&S Care department gossip too, if you go in their office you can hear them having a natter and laugh about their students.
The college is luxurious, has many different facilities and includes a Starbucks. The members of staff are polite, helpful and very supportive. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
