Went here recently to meet some friends for food, drinks and watching a rugby game. The occasion was a casual affair and we all had pizza. I have to say that the pizza was one of the best pizza's that I have ever had and it was a joyous surprise. Very well done to the Vecchia Roma - would recommend all to try it!
Food was lovely. We ate in a large group on a Saturday evening and we were well attended to. Excellent kids choices, all food arrived together and never went thirsty at the table. Really enjoyable evening and would highly recommend.
We enjoyed a great pizza here on a Sunday afternoon, the pints of Guinness were good,the staff were polite and helpful and we were able to watch the football on the big screen. Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating available in the bar. A band started playing around 6.30pm so we stayed on for an hour or so to enjoy the music. Worth a visit.

Took our order at 8pm and still no food by 9.45..so we left, weren't the only table complaining, another family there from 7.30 and no food by the time we left. Its pizza !!!! Staff not very apologetic wouldn't even make eye contact us...never be back
Stumbled across VR whilst checking Google Maps as I was passing Newry, Southbound on the A1. Food was OUTSTANDING. Smokehouse Platter was so tender and tasteful. Very reasonably priced and staff very friendly. Didn't have a lot of time to explore Warrenpoint and its fine harbour but a revisit to VR will easily justify this detour. Thank You to the Chef and Front Room staff at VR for a very enjoyable meal. A hidden gem in my opinion.
We had a fabulous meal tonight. The trio of fish was outstanding. Salmon, cod and monkfish cooked in garlic butter served with seared lemon...would give any fish restaurant a run for their money! And the pizzas are simply THE BEST. I had goats cheese, sun dried tomatoes , pepperoni and jalapeno .Our waiter Samuel couldn't have been more attentive. And all the other staff made us feel most welcome and valued.
Despite some issues with my meal (very overcooked steak) I did enjoy my dinner at this place. The staff were very friendly and replaced my meal promptly as well as offered a discount at the end. In the end the steak was tasty. Also, very good onion rings. My friend got a pizza which was very good. Would go back again but just for a pizza;)
