do not let your child attend this place if they are LGBTQ+..nothing but bullies in packs of 4 or more trying to intimidate a single person causing no trouble just going about their day... You'd think this day and age being a protected characteristic would count for something but it's pick and chose between the characteristics
Unwilling to even have a proper conversation about their students antisocial behaviour. It's unsurprising that the students have such little accountability considering the staff of the college aren't willing to practise it.
My child did one course here for 2 years. Tutors left and took ages to get stand ins which left kids to barley any practical work at all. They were far behind in exams which were purposely pushed through and rushed. Minimal equipment. Can't move onto another module untill everyone's at the same level leaving some waiting around. My child cant even get a job from this now and can't even get an apprenticeship as they felt they didn't know or do enough. No help with maths and English just keep chucking the kids in the exams each summer. Tutors pick favourites and overlook others. Colleges are suppose to help kids in their future. We were promised the college helps every step of the way to gain employment for the child but there's been no help at all. Very disappointing for my child who's now been put off completely and feels extremely down about the whole experience.
I enrolled in 2023, and was verbally assaulted and threatened by another student just a month into the course. I was told I would need to leave for my protection, I was later then told I am being banned for a year, I tried to enroll in 2024 and was told every course was full, despite trying 5 different courses, and this year I am told I have been permanently banned. Can't find an ombudsman service or authority that will take a look at this matter either, so they're able to get away with this, and the message they're making is "we are the biggest bullies, and we can get away with it, so deal with it". They've essentially just robbed me of 3 years.
I am absolutely delighted with the abundant resources and incredible opportunities that this college has provided me. When it comes to acknowledging those who have had a significant impact on my journey, I must give utmost credit to the tutors in the computing department. This remarkable duo of professionals possesses an unparalleled level of expertise, adaptability, and understanding. During my time studying A Levels, I experienced a loss of passion for the subjects I was learning. However, upon returning to further education, I discovered that not only did the lecturers expand my knowledge, but they also reignited my fervor for learning, the subjects themselves, and the value of collaborative work. Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude for the invaluable college experience I have had. I wholeheartedly extend my sincerest wishes for the future success of both my exceptional lecturers.
The staff are so approachable, friendly and helpful , they made enrolling very pleasant.
