Staff wonderful & room fine. Beware of Mondays & late starts. Our agent booked this because of lovely location with a bar & restaurant. We anticipated we could settle in for a nice evening after a long drive - then after a good rest head off to Newgrange 1st thing in the am. Here was what actually happened. Upon arrival disappointed to learn that the restaurant was closed for a music event & the bar hours limited 3-7pm for the same reason. No tickets had been reserved / available for guests. After walking all over town we learned that ALL restaurants were closed. Found a takeout place & ate on a picnic table. Later listened to the concert goers as we tried to sleep. Next day - breakfast only started at 9am - with that & navigation issues - late for Newgrange. Not an ideal stay. Perhaps vacancy was low hence the decision to exclude guests & close restaurant on a day when they had no other choices. Our responsibility for not checking it out better beforehand.
Stayed here the other night. Lovely accommodation in a truly beautiful part of Ireland. The paintings throughout add such a nice touch and the service was outstanding. Very kind and considerate owners of the establishment and the staff are all fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the area. Thanks!
Lovely friendly atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The lady who service us was amazing with our 7 year old daughter letting her in on a few narnia secrets. The food was good too. Thank you
The location of the rostrevor inn is smashing. Great spot to base yourself for exploring carlingford Lough area and the mournes. The rooms where clean and tidy and nicely decorated and check in was simple and quick. We didn't The price we paid for 1 night stay was very reasonable including breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately we feel the food was not as good as we were expecting having read other reviews and information before our stay. We both had burgers for dinner and felt that they were just "ok" and upon waking up excited about our day of exploring ahead of us we were disappointed with an overall "overdone" full fry.

Nestled at the foot of Kilbroney Park, close to the Fairy Glen in the beautiful village of Rostrevor, the Rostrevor Inn is steeped in history and charm. Food - we had dinner and breakfast - was wonderful, great choice including vegan options - freshly cooked, good portions, tasty and price was excellent. Highly recommend steak night! The staff were exceptional, friendly, efficient and the place was spotless.
Very comfortable, quiet room with a gigantic double bed…right in the middle of town. Much cheaper than the AirB&B that a friend rented down the road too. Charming staff everywhere and a FANTASTIC full Irish breakfast (see photo). 100% recommended if you’re in the Rostrevor area.
