The modest entrance has a few items in the window, but the truth is there are three full floors packed full of handmade Irish clothing and souvenirs. Depending on what you get, it may or may not be worth it. Definitely worth a visit and to pick up great gifts for yourself and others in cold weather places. I took a star off for some overpriced souvenirs that were 3x as much as I’ve estimated, and while most people I’ve met have been truly lovely, one sales associate at Aran appeared to be rather rude and perhaps mildly racist towards me.

Good products, but be wary...most of their wool is NOT from Ireland. Only one square counter basically was Irish stock. Most is murano wool. Stuff is made in Ireland, but the material comes from South America. Just keep that in mind if you're looking for true Irish wool.

This was the first place we stopped in for wool products during our trip, and as we soon found out, there are a lot of wool shops scattered throughout Ireland. There is a large selection of items here from sweaters, to blankets, hats, gloves, socks, etc and it is a little crowded to navigate through during busy times. The quality of the products is apparent though, and the prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. The staff are bustling around and while certainly willing to help, aren't overly friendly either. Many of the other wool shops around have a more boutique atmosphere, but this one stuck in my head for having excellent selection quality and value.
