Nick took me and a friend on a trad climbing learn to lead course last weekend, we had an awesome time. The course was focussed on learning different principles and systems we could apply for gear placement, anchors and problem solving to apply in a wide range of situations and make our own assessment of safety/risk.

I booked a course for April but did not get to do it until September, and PCS were really good with my delays. Finally did my 'Back to rock/becoming independent' day out last week and it was a tremendous day out. I was pushed beyond my comfort zone, but not beyond my abilities. My instructor was Nick. Easy parking near the school, friendly and all round good fun.

We had two brilliant days with our instructor Matt on the Mountain rope work scrambling course in Wales last week. Despite the testing british weather conditions we learned so much! Matt tailored the course to our previous experiences, was so friendly, patient and encouraging and taught us the important skills we need to climb safely and also make our own decisions. We both gained so much confidence moving in the mountains using ropes, got loads of advice about routes and equipment and now we can't wait to get out practicing new skills! We're already thinking about booking another course with Peak climbing school and will definitely be recommending this one to others. Thank you so much!

I completed the Becoming Independent climbing course at Peak Climbing School this weekend, and I canβt recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was incredibly well-structured, supportive, and empowering. George our instructor was highly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about climbing and teaching. He created a safe and encouraging environment that allowed us to push our limits while building confidence in our own abilities. Every session was hands-on, practical, and tailored to our pace, ensuring we fully understood the techniques and safety protocols. By the end of the course as an older participant being new to outdoor climbing, I felt completely equipped and confident to climb. We covered everything from rope work and belaying to route planning and risk assessment for rigging. The progression was natural and never overwhelming, and the feedback was always constructive and motivating. The Peak District setting added to the magicβstunning views with real rock experience. I canβt recommend this course enoughβit was a fantastic experience!

Amazing weekend out on the Roaches with Peak Climbing School's Introduction to Rock Climbing course. If you're looking to get started with climbing then this is exactly what you need. Michael the instructor was brilliant - friendly, knowledgable and patient and tailored the course to meet individual needs. I left after two days feeling so much more confident. Looking forward to getting booked on the next course soon!

Had an amazing day with my 12 &15 year old daughters, scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling. Nick the instructor was fantastic, not only was he extremely Knowledgeable but he was patient and encouraging. We didnβt just do the activities but were provided with so many new skills actually teaching us as we went and answering all the girls questions. Brilliant, we will all be back!

Had a really fun filled day with our teenagers. We went on a family introduction to climbing day with Nick. Started off practicing at some bouldering before moving on to climbing then abseiling. The nice thing about this school is they teach you the skills you need such as belaying and how to tie on to a rope with a view to you being able to go climbing without an instructor as well as providing all the necessary equipment. Nick was very knowledgeable and friendly and he was great with our kids. Worth every penny.

Had a brilliant time yesterday on the day introduction to climbing with instructor Phil and fellow pupil Chris. The day started with an intro to bouldering which then smoothly led into using those footwork skills on some roped climbs. As a complete beginner who has only climbed twice before I felt really safe at all times and encouraged to push myself. I also got to try belaying for the first time. So if u r brand new to climbing donβt feel u cannot come on one of these courses! Itβs such fun and u will learn lots and get increased confidence as a result.

Had the most amazing day yesterday with the Peak Climbing School. Very professional and well organized. We did the family climbing day with our teenage boys and they both agreed it was a fantastic day. We all loved the bouldering, rock climbing and weaseling. The tuition from Matty was great and we all made good progress. The guys at the school are really friendly and supportive and tailor the day to the level and experience of the group. Will definitely come back and do more!
