I recently booked my car in for its MOT at Halfords and was really impressed with the whole experience. Booking was quick and straightforward, the staff were friendly and explained everything clearly, and the test was completed on time. They gave me honest advice about a couple of minor issues without pushing for unnecessary work, which gave me confidence that my car is safe and roadworthy for the year ahead. The price was fair and in line with what you’d expect for an MOT, and I’ll definitely be returning next year

Took my car in for MOT & New Tyres, expected it to fail and need some repairs. The guy at the front desk asked which tyres needed doing and I explained it was one at the front and the spare - 'no problem, the guys will sort that's MOT fails as expected and props to the team there were a couple repairs needed that were completed relatively quickly. Very expensive but that was to be expected from a big company. I got my car back after a retest and discovered that the correct tyre had not been replaced so I had to take it back the next day to have that done. This was completed free of charge because it was their mistake. Overall, middle of the road experience, the team just needs to be a bit more friendly, explain things better and listen to the customers request.

Damaged the car paintwork when car was getting fixed - could only book it in to be repaired in 2 months’ time. I called 3 weeks before appointment asking it to be pushed back by 2-3 weeks and 4 days later they’re saying they’re still waiting to hear back from the paint garage people. It doesn’t take 4 days to check that! Absolutely no communications and no apology - you guys are the ones that damaged the car, not me, so the service has to reflect this but they’ve been making it my problem as though I’m at fault. Baffling treatment of customers. I wouldn’t recommend.
