   Despite regularly taking my car for its service and MOT the quality of service has dropped the last two years (staff changes) and this year they tried to sell me recommended work that was actually included in the major service the car had 12 months ago so was not due. Staff attempted to make out it was due to a different technician from last year but records clearly show the car had a major service last year and the work was not needed. They even had the audacity to add an extra recommended work by the time we picked the car up. The service documentation doesn’t even show they checked the tyre tread - says N/A. Not sure why as they clearly have to do and have done as it’s passed its MOT. Will not be going back now

   Used this garage a few times for MOT and tyres, if it wasn't for the free MOT with the membership I would have gone elsewhere. The management guy is always pleasant and helpful enough but I find the technicians to be quite unprofessional in their 'banter' in the workshop considering it can be heard in the waiting area, especially the girl zoe. Each experience has been frustratingly and unnecessarily slow, it's never a quick visit... took over 1 1/2 hrs to get my keys back after changing one tyre, which the website quotes as a 15-30 minute job. They seem more interested in giving quotes and fixing walk in repairs than providing a good service to customers who've already paid. I think I'll use an independent garage in the future, they might value their customers more.

   0 stars if they would allow it. Stinking attitude as I arrived for MOT today. Rude male greeted me with not a hello, but a very abrupt “move your car”. What a lovely way to greet your potential paying custom. If only I could read minds I would know where to park my car and how Halfords run their MOT service. But unfortunately, I cannot. Might know how to use a spanner, but definitely don’t have a clue about customer service. They were told to shove both MOT and attitude up one’s a***. On the plus side, I am thankful for the heads up before they went ahead with the MOT, so they can have the 1 star.

   Had a vibration in the front, they put it down to a crack in the flex tube section of the exhaust but due to it probably being old they wanted almost £800 to replace the whole exhaust rather than that section (found the part on eBay and it’s a small section that’s easy to replace), im not even sure how that would make the car vibrate! So I didn’t opt for it and drove it away Also wanted to do an oil change due to low oil but I’ve been checking for days now and it isn’t, I can’t help but feel alittle taken advantage of, or that they found the correct issue

   Very good service. The staff are kind, helpful & friendly. Even when I missed my appointment slot for an MOT, they kindly moved me into another spot to accommodate me. Very appreciated. Will be using again. They were recommended to me by a family member who uses them for everything.

   Took my car in for an MOT knowing it would fail due to an engine light and DPF issue. The team were amazing, they made a call to refer the car to a local DPF specialist who fixed the issue the next day and probably ended up saving me ££££. Genuinely appreciated the way they took the time to explain everything to me without any hint of mansplaining. I’ll definitely use them again.
