   I have never in my life encountered someone quite so spectacularly rude. I rang up this evening to ask about riding lessons for me and my husband - we’re looking for somewhere closer to home for a couple of lessons a week. We’re both under the weight limit (just for context), though I’m more experienced than him. Now, I completely understand that riding schools have weight restrictions, and 12 stone is a perfectly reasonable one. But what I wasn’t expecting was the charming follow-up in a very serious and disgusted tone: "I'm not being rude. We don’t want any fatties." - on what planet is that not rude? Despite my better judgement, I persevered and asked about availability. His response was "All rising schools are fully booked. You won't get a lesson anywhere. We don’t do private lessons because they don’t pay. All riding schools are shutting down across the country..." And off he went on a bit of a rant about the challenges of running a riding school. I have every sympathy for the challenges of running ANY business in this day and age - costs are constantly rising and times are tough - but if you're struggling, perhaps not being rude to potential (paying) customers would be a sensible starting point? I do hope the call helped with his stress levels because he certainly seemed to need a good vent. That said, perhaps next time he could consider keeping his personal grievances to himself instead of offloading them onto someone who was considering spending around £300 a month on lessons!

   Had a 2 person riding lesson which they balanced perfectly. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Being able to learn technique while having fun was an experience most riding schools can’t fulfil, but Whitmore Riding School do.

   I had my riding lesson today at Whitmore, I always enjoy my time there as all the staff and instructors are brilliant, not to mention the lovely horses. Today was brilliant as I rode Murphy - the best horse ever and Brian took the lesson, Brian is amazing, he has such passion and love for the horses and is a great teacher - I would recommend Whitmore Riding school, the horses and the amazing team of instructors and stable hands to anyone who loves horses. It has a very professional, friendly and family feel to it. I would not want t ride anywhere else. Thank you all, especially Brian for making me so happy and improving my riding and confidence.

   Our daughter L. L. has been riding at Whitmore since February 2017. We have nothing but praise for Brian who in our opinion is a very nice man indeed!! Answers all phone calls promptly and always finds time to come and chat when our daughter is riding on a Sunday morning. He goes out of his way to involve our friends little boy who comes to watch his sister ride, only this morning Brian gave him a hat and took him for a little ride leading and holding the little boy himself ( he doesn't have to do this). All the girls who work there are very helpful and friendly. And, the Riding Instructors are fantastic! And highly respected in their field. This is a fantastic school and we can not fault it!!!
