I’ve used Semmens for the last 2 years after my mechanic of over 20 years retired and recommended them. I was booked in for an MOT and full service today and bearing in mind my car is 17 years old I thought I was in for a fair whack. The lovely Nikki called and said ‘we only did a mini service as it didn’t need a full service and it’s passed its mot’. You could have knocked me down with a feather. Absolute class outfit. 100% recommend them without hesitation.
Wow what a hidden gem. My cars been in twice for faults other garages couldn’t repair. Luc went above and beyond to fix the issues for me. My car now drives as it should and seems completely fixed. Everyone in the garage I had dealings with were wonderful, including the lady on reception. Thank you, I will highly recommend you!
After damage to my car by another mechanic, I went to Semmens on the recommendation of a friend. They fit me in quickly, were friendly and efficient, and gave me an great price. I will not be going anywhere else from now on. It's such a relief when you can find a mechanic you can trust and know isn't ripping you off. Thank you guys!
I took in my Volvo a few days ago after the garage kindly squeezed me in very last minute for an issue the main dealership made me feel was an “emergency”. The team were friendly and helpful, and above all very honest. They explained to me that the dealership had spun me a complete yarn of lies and the apparent “issue” wasn’t an issue at all. Rather than charging me for the work and I would be non-the-wiser, the team at Semmens were trustworthy and told me to just take the car and leave with no work required and no charge for their very kind time. I am not very local to Semmens but I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to anyone. Thank you once again to the team for your accommodation of me, and your honesty.
One of the electric windows on my car failed and Semmens took my car in immediately as I was unable to secure it over night. It required a new window regulator. Fantastic customer service and fair price. I plan to use Semmens in future as my local garage. I am a very happy customer.

Had a new clutch fitted today and as always the service was excellent. I’ve been going to Semmens for a couple of years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. They always do a great job and Luc is always so honest about what does and doesn’t need to be done. 10/10. Thank you!
I booked my car in for a mot and service. The car was dropped in at 8am due to work commitments, within 45 minutes, Nikki the office manager called me to say the car had passed but 2 Tyres even though were legal they would need replacing in the near future. As the car was in the garage I asked if they could replace at the same time. The car then had the service and was called again to be told it was ready to be collected. The customer service I received from Nikki and the team at Semmens of Southsea was excellent and will definitely be back again next year for the MOT Thank you to the whole team, very friendly and great service.
Excellent Customer Service. I needed this done quickly and I called Semmens and they had it done within the hour. It’s so nice to find a company that looks after its customers so well. I would definitely recommend them.
