   I have put off a dental visit for 35 years. This was due to trauma from a childhood visit in a different surgery. It stuck with me for years and being neurodivergent it has been something that has controlled my life. When a tooth broke a few years ago I didn’t do anything and lived with the on off pain but then the tooth got infected to the point of after a few months I could not cope anymore. I was in agony with swollen infected gums. I contacted highlands and explained my situation and they were so calm and patient from the first call to initial visit. Everything was explained professionally, reassuringly and very patiently. My fears were explored and every step was talked through with me before anything was done. I had to have the tooth removed and an appointment was booked. Somehow I managed to get myself back and the dental nurse came out and checked in on me and so did the dentist. When we went into the room it was cool with ac and a few tools were laid out on a small table. No needles on show and again every item was shown and explained what its purpose was. Before injections they used a lot of numbing gel and talked me through how they would inject a small amount and wait and then carried in after a time to numb appropriately. I even had my hand held by the nurse for comfort. Yes im 47 but absolutely frozen with fear and this was such a nice gesture. I also have fibromyalgia so my pain threshold is so low so anything like this is always an issue. I was aware for a few seconds of the injections but they were administered in a really careful way. The dentist then kept testing the gum to make sure it was numb and explained what they would do should I feel pain. The chair was sat up a bit as well and again any discomfort they were happy to stop. They even suggested my headphones to be used and were patient whilst I was faffing around with these. The dentist explained the removal procedure and started. Hand on heart I had no sensation of pain or discomfort atall. She was so careful and smooth Within about 30 seconds the tooth was out. It didn’t even break up and the bleeding was minimal. 35 years of having a phobia so bad I would freeze and not even get to a surgery and it was a fear I just could not handle. I can know now that although my anxiety will be high I will be met with nothing but professionalism and care on my next visit. Thank you so much.

   Incredible practice from all the support provided. Dharshi has been absolutely incredible with my son. He has several SEN needs and this dentist has provided us with such care and kind service. She is so patient with him and truly kind. I would definitely recommend this dentist. I would give more stars if I could. ⭐️

   Such a fantastic surgery. The dentist snd nurse couldn’t have been more kind and professional. After trying to save my tooth, I eventually had an Extraction! Their empathy and care was beyond anything any other dentist have given me. I highly recommend them.
