I used the Beverley store when I ordered three rugs totalling £107 via click and collect. I did the order online at 9.30 and received confirmation from Dunelm that the rugs would be ready to collect after two hours. At 1pm Dunelm emailed to say one of the rugs were unavailable however the other two I would be able to collect once the Beverley store emailed me. Finally at 15.45 I got an email to say that I could collect one rug. I asked the store where the other rug was. They told me that both of the other rugs had been sold off the shop floor to other customers throughout the day as staff had not bothered to look for them until the afternoon. I was extremely annoyed as I had paid for them at 9.30am. Then they told me that a refund of £72 may take up to seven days with the weekend. I will never use click and collect with Dunelm again. The staff in the Beverley shop need to be much more efficient and trained better. Dunelm should not advertise to customers that after two hours items should be ready to collect. This is very misleading. They should also let customers know that by using their click and collect that it is very unlikely they will receive some if not all the items they paid for.

No issue with the products on sale but the attitude and manners of the lady at the checkout left a great deal to be desired. Rarely have I been treated so rudely and with such a lack of respect. Whether she had had a bad day, hated her job or had had a disagreement with colleagues, I don’t know, but to take her bad mood out on customers is unacceptable.

Had to return an item today, and collect an item. I have never come across such an unhelpful and miserable member of staff at the tills. Elaine S was gunting to herself, never smiled and make me feel a nuisance. You really need to provide staff training on customer service. If you are that unhappy in your job, I suggest you leave and get a job in a non customer related role! Would have expected more from Dunelem!!

This Dunelm is packed full of products but is poorly laid out and it can be difficult to find things, even with the aid of the (few and far between) staff. There are some good prices and bargains to be had but it’s a very frustrating shop to navigate, especially when trying to exit. The toilets on the first floor are usually pretty clean but I don’t think that they are checked on a regular basis. This morning, Wednesday, just after 10am there was no soap in any of the dispensers. I mentioned this to a member of staff who happened to be close by - indifference to the point of rudeness. It might be the role of the cleaners to refill soap etc, but in other stores staff members have apologised, expressed concern, told me that they would pass on the information and get it sorted. The cafe on the first floor is clean and well laid out; it’s good to see that there is a Community Board with information about local group and events. Staff not particularly engaging. Coffee was okay but slight scuzz on the surface suggested that the coffee machine probably needs a good clean. I’ve visited a number of Dunelm stores and this one really ought to be better.

20 minute wait plus for x2 coffees in the cafe, one member of staff serving. Sat amongst previous customers dirty plates and cups on the empty tables. 19 people in the main queue downstairs to pay for goods with two staff on. People complaining behind me. Member of staff on the tills complaining no one was coming to help and he hadn't had his dinner yet. Think I got my timing wrong !

We visited Dunelm today and decided to go to the cafe. Have to say how disappointed we were. Had to wait a good 5 minutes to order food as the staff were too busy chatting to each other. Order taken and went to go find a table. The table was filthy with stains and the floor was dirty with food crumbs. It was only 10.30 so I was surprised at the state of the floor and table. Very unusual for Dunelm as it's normally spotless in their cafes.

My wife & I always enjoy a visit to Dunelm. Since it opened we use the Beverley store as it is easier for us to travel to. Always find excellent customer service & many choices when shopping. The products we have bought from them over the years have always been quality & value for money. Had some great bargains over the years during sale times. Would recommend their stores.

Lovely shop. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of variety of goods. Have a cafe upstairs if you need a quick coffee or something to eat.

I visited on February 11th for the first time and was looking forward to shopping at this new branch. However, the shop floor had pallets in the aisles and strewn at the front of the shop and lots of empty shelves. The shop itself was bright and clean but it looked liked it wasn't quite ready to open yet. I tried the cafe and was disappointed with a lukewarm flat white, terrible service, although there were only a handful of customers, and dirty floors and tables. The person serving me forgot my simple order of a flat white & apple pie twice and then asked if I only wanted 1 drink! I was bemused. The cafe was excellent value and had great choices so I may come back in a year or so to see if it has improved.
