    Spoke with Jodie about a head gasket repair for an Audi, she was really good about it, very clear and helpful with the quote. I explained to her that I couldn’t exceed a certain amount due to a budget we had agreed a price and day to drop off the vehicle to begin works. When the day arrived to drop off the vehicle, I went into the garage and explained the booking and another receptionist knocked the whole conversation which me and Jodie had about the agreement of the repair. She immediately wanted to charge me more for the work which exceeded my budget which she knew about and apparently she tried emailing and calling me to tell about the price change of the quote which I never received, I drove 30 mins to get there to then be informed of the misinformation. I felt like she was trying to take advantage of my situation and charge me more but ultimately didn’t really want to take the job on. The service wasn’t great and didn’t receive any apology either I would be mindful about proceeding with this garage.

    Great experience here! Dropped the car off for a service and MOT and got a call by 3pm to say it had all been done! Picked up my car and a nice extra surprise to see it had been washed! Great service friendly staff and real care taken!

    Have used them a few times for convenience as the are close to me, both mine and my partner's car. They have been mostly excellent however couple issues recently. Recently when I picked it up my car from them, it had the keys left in it with the window wide open causing a soaking wet seat from the rain. The receptionist indicated to me that getting the key from the safe when it was in my pocket. Initially the receptionist asked if I was being see to after waiting and being ignored for 5 minutes. I said no, I am here to pick up my car and then proceeded to just stare blankly at me so I needed to prompt him. Then I asked for a quote on additional work to my car which was substantially higher than quote I got for my trusted mechanic in cullompton. There is a minor niggle that they may give advisories on Mots that are not an issue but can't prove that right now but getting a second opinion on that now so will post an update. Not as professional as I once thought and there are little niggles that indicated a lack of depth in the teams abilities. Obviously some fantastic experienced mechanics but maybe just a bad day.... Order wrong parts regularly and blame it on the parts company. Lost some trust in them unfortunately. I was a little bit annoyed with the door thing but they just dismissed me. Didn't like that obviously so not happy with them. They didn't seem to think ordering wrong parts or not looking after my car was an issue. That's a red flag for me.

    I can't speak more highly of Gary and the staff at Autocare Services in Exeter. I had a problem with my car which was misfiring. I booked it in with the main dealer to identify the problem. They had the car for 3 weeks and after putting it on their diagnostic machine and another test they came up with the conclusion it needed a replacement engine. As the car had only done 12,000 miles I was advised to get a 2nd opinion. Thank goodness I did. Gary found the fault quite quickly. He replaced the seals to the cylinder head and now all's well. I can't thank him enough. I will certainly be recommending Autocare Services to my family and friends. I don't think you'd find a more honest, trustworthy and reliable garage.

On both occasions I was booked in at reception by Alan and Sarah and they could not have been more helpful, ensuring that a replacement part was fitted as soon as possible after an MOT fail, despite their very busy schedule.
