Many people run down Iceland Supermarket and in the past I would have never entered one turning my nose up at the thought. Having now actually used their stores I can say I am pleasently impressed. They may not have the greatest displays, largest shops or have spent the most on their premises, but they stock a very good range of reasonably priced items which in many cases you can batch together for a 'bulk' discount. I have found many of their own brand chicken and fish freezer packs to be of a higher meat content and quality than the major brands plus you can buy frozen Greggs sausage rolls!!! I understand they have a pensioners loyality card which gives additional discounted prices on a Tuesday.

I've been very impressed with the improvements here in the last couple of years. It now feels well managed, with a good team of staff. The quality of the food has inceased significantly too, with some great exclusive branded products now, at good prices.

Everything you expect of iceland, and handy location (on foot) in the centre of town, No express/self checkouts which would be useful if only buying a couple of items, you can queue a while if you get timing wrong, though they do try to open another till for longer queues.

Love this shop, staff are very helpful, friendly they will help me if I need to find items and check dates for me as I have visual impairments in both eyes, the is of good quality and very affordable specially if you are on a budget, ideal for families, those who are on there own,and smaller families, this shop is local and easy to get to,keep up the good work Thankyou to the Manager and staff for helping me at times

Absolutely atrocious service.... walk to the till to be told he was closing obviously more interested in going home than serving so queue up at another till only to see a swap in personnel and the till remains open now stuck behind a huge shop with only 3 items.. To then get to the till and be ignored by the cashier who found it far more important talking to another colleague... So all in all poor service. But cant argue with the prices
