Staff seem to not care. Got goody bags here twice only to get a few reduced crappy little bits straight from the shelf by the till. Not worth the money even when trying to stop food waste.
Staff very sadly lacking in customer service skills. No smiles, no communication, disinterested and rude. Obviously did not want to be there doing their job and the line of customers an obvious imposition
Very good quality of food, wide range of goods. Pleasant helpful staff. Always polite helpful & courteous. Plus a post office in store. A gem in the centre of the village.
Good local shop. Lovely staff members but tonight I witnessed a woman in her mid twenties having to stop a customer from stealing 3 bottles of wine on her own. A member of the public stepped in to help her but having two young women serving in a shop that is a regular target of shoplifters does not seems safe. Both dealt very well with the situation but should not have been in that position.
Terrible! Waited over 10 mins to be served at the post office, only 1 person in front of me, member of staff on the counter clearly unable to deal with conversation as well as job. Zero apology, zero interest, zero customer service from any team member. Will not be using again. No need to email specific examples as I have covered everything in my review.
Fairly disintetested staff attitude, offhand at times, depending on the staff member. For comparison go to Westbourne Stores up Monks Hill, Wow, what a difference.
Get Amazon to take off that you are a hub to return goods.
Shopped here for years,but as of the last few years it's unbearable I have to skip this store now as I can not stand a certain staff member that is on the tills if the shop is empty and she is stood behind counter she will make sure she leaves the counter to start stocking shelves leaving me standing there,but the worst most unforgivable experience with this utter abomination of a human, was with my 5yo child standing in cue Pauline, asked for my son to get bk from the till area as he was to close for her comfort even tho covid restrictions have been completely lifted at this point, he is autistic witch I explained to her as she shouted at him and me at the top of her voice that she will not serve us and to leave as he stood to close again,naturally I left the premises very angry and since told others of this,they too have noticed this lady and will not shop in there... Shame!!!!disappointed
As a kid I remember this being very nice and friendly. Once had a cashier hand me a teddy bear as a present. These days though they’re just soulless, packed, new bad layout, and underpaid staff with overpriced items. It’s lost the character it used to have.
