    I originally gave a 5 star review too quickly first impressions were very good. After getting my vehicle back with nothing been done after 10 days and getting another garages opinion. I will avoid Halfords at all costs. Staff are polite at the beginning then it all changes.

    Can’t praise enough. I did wonder what level of service I would get when I booked as a result of a having discounted MOT offered by email with Halfords motoring club. I thought will it be you get what you pay for or would they try to get the discount back with inflated quotes for unnecessary work. How wrong I was…..from the moment I arrived I was impressed with all of the awesomely friendly and helpful staff. The car sailed through its MOT and the MOT tester was genuinely the nicest, friendliest and helpful tester I’ve known in around four decades of motoring. He completed a couple of small fixes and showed me what he had done. He really is a complete credit to this place and deserves every bit of praise I can heap on him. It was a little busy but that is just a testament to how good they are. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but felt that I had to praise the staff here as they really deserve it.

    If I could leave 0 stars I would! Car booked in for Thursday or the schools holidays. I arrange a day to stay at home to have the car serviced when I can be without it for a day. After waiting until 11.30 I call them to be told they have been busy and won’t be able to collect my car. Very frustrating but these things happen so I arrange for it to be collected on the following Monday on the basis the car is returned that day by 3pm. They collect at 9am as agreed and I remind the driver that it is very important that the car is back by 3pm as I have to do the school run. I then get a call at 2.30 to say the car is going to be late because of parts availability. They claim they have not got the oil filter. But of course they have drained the oil!!!!! When I ask if they are going to pay for an Uber of course they can’t do that because it’s a lease car. I now don’t know if I will have my car back to get my wife to and from work. Your customer service is shocking, and some basics of car maintenance….don’t drain the oil if you don’t have a new filter…although I think this was a lie. When I finally get the car back look how they left the mats!!!

    Excellent experience whilst choosing my new Range Rover Evoque. From the minute we walked in we were looked after by Sarina. She was friendly, professional and personable and nothing was too much for her. From explaining everything and helping sort out my phone app she was there to help. Loving my new car.     Absolutely shocking! Took my car for MOT and came back saying rear axle had fully gone and I needed a full rear axle replacement and airbag light was on showing a major fault told me that the repairs just for those 2 things would cost me more then the car is worth. Then proceeded to tell me my car was dangerous to drive which I believe was to worry me about driving it so I would get them to repair it there and be charged over the odds for some simple things. Other stuff was on the MOT too. Luckily as a female I know a decent amount about cars and knew something wasn’t right I checked the axle myself and it was solid. Took it for a second opinion and my rear axle hasn’t gone and the only thing on the rear end was a small 10p size hole on the spring cup holder. Had an auto electrician also look at the airbag light and it was as simple as a front impact sensor and also 4 things was removed off my second opinion MOT because they was perfectly fine. I would avoid this company as I do believe they are not genuine and will add things in your MOT what isn’t there. So happy to have paid another company 90 pound to double check and repair my car. I’m just glad I knew about cars but other people might not be so clued up so be vigilant if using this company.

    Went for a full service to find out that they do not update bmw idrive even though they told that they could waste of time. Took my car back again and still not updated so I have paid for a full service with no record of it being do
