I visited this store yesterday at 5:30 PM to print a photo, and my experience was disappointing. The staff member, Ollie, initially told me that the photo couldn’t be printed in good quality because it was from WhatsApp. I then offered to have my wife email the image instead. He responded that they were closing in 30 minutes, making it seem like he was unwilling to help. Once he saw the emailed photo, he said it still wasn’t possible unless he could see the phone it was taken from, which didn’t make sense. I mentioned that I had printed the same image at Boots without an issue. At that point, he reluctantly agreed to try printing it. When I asked about a frame, he quoted me £19 for the frame and £20 for the print, totaling £49. However, I later noticed a sign stating "Print & Frame – £30" for the same size. When I questioned this, he insisted it was for the frame only. I pointed out the sign, but he brushed it off, saying it was too late now. I strongly feel that I was overcharged simply because it was near closing time, and he didn’t want to bother. I advise others to double-check prices and be cautious to avoid being overcharged here.
I got there for a few minutes to close hour. I missed my way, I rang and the most soothing and calming voice gave me directions on how to locate the place behind Tesco. I was literally shaking but he was very friendly and made me feel at ease. I don't know the young man's name but he is an angel. I will recommend Max Spielmann services a billion times.
I got my passport photo taken at a different branch but it got rejected. Came to this branch and was served by an awesome staff who took a look at the picture and immediately knew what needed to be corrected. He had a great attitude and was very welcoming and positive. He said he has never had a photo rejected in two years and true enough, this time round my photo was accepted. I am so grateful! He deserves a raise.
I’ve visited this place a couple of times now and have had the pleasure of being served by Josh, the manager. I just want to commend him for his outstanding customer service. He’s incredibly welcoming and makes you feel completely at ease. His approach is exactly how customer service should be—professional, friendly, and without any hint of criticism. Truly a great example of how service should be done! you will get places keep being you!:)
Used this place to get some photos printed as the cost in boots was astronomical for the amount I wanted done. I talked to the young man on the phone before hand who said come in and we will sort this out for you..... And that he did. What a helpful bloke. Advised me on cheapest way to do it and was super helpful. Would definitely use this place again.
Needed a label printed for a parcel urgently and this turned out to be my saviour. Lovely chap serving (and open on a Sunday no less!). 35p for 2x a4 was also a nice surprise.
Wow! Super fast service, was in and out in under 2 minutes! Team were very attentive, really helpful, made the process really fast even though the store was very busy! Will always print here, so many options in store, you don't need anywhere else!
Fantastic customer service. After the Tesco Fratton branch let me down horribly these guys really made an effort to fix the other branch’s mess! It’s been a long time since I’ve received such friendly and prompt service! Thank you so much to the two gentlemen. Highly, highly recommend.
i was looking for a disposable camera before my graduation and i was recommended to go here. they had everything, including the disposable click-and-shoots! i was helped by Zoe, she was very kind and helpful. i asked if she had example photos from the dispos. cameras and she showed me her own from her phone! she was great and had amazing customer service, thank you Zoe and thank you this store!
