Considering the number of vehicles on the ferry from Ouistreham at lunchtime today. Border Force were incredibly efficient and good humoured

Yes they have a job to do ..but how do the french do it with minimum fuss, whilst the UK Border force act with such arrogance towards their own UK Citizens. Completely inefficient system ( if you can call it that ) in place, Instead of walking up and down the queue and flagging potential issues, they just stand in one place and process car by car so even when you've left more than adequate time to get your ferry, the border force just dont care one bit what time your ferry is and don't process with any sort of urgency or awareness that we are UK CItizens with small children in the car . Completely unnecessary . Completely inefficient .

Got stopped on the way back from Le Mans by border force police for my short five digit number plate . Read the riot act for a good twenty minutes by a guy who clearly did not know the law on number plates. Been checked by mot requirements for the last several years and been fine and meets all regulations. Be interested to know how many other law abiding drivers get stopped by the same guy.

Shockingly bad. Queues, broken computers, chaos. Staff did their best but it took 45 minutes to process a ferry less than 30% full. Welcome to Britain.

Terrible organisation, which is more interested in making money than actually helping anyone...never thought anyone in their right minds would make inviting someone to meet my dying mother this difficult...well i hope they all go through this, and they get to see their loved ones in such distress and suffering...
