Would like to say a big thank you to St Mary’s Walk in centre today for how amazing they were with a lady we support at day service. They were very patient and interactive with her, and even went over and above. Really positive experience in a situation that could’ve been very distressing. Thank you❤️

Honestly I want to praise this location and all the team here. Dr Pete who was the on call GP in this venue today at 12.30 to 1.30pm was brilliant. He wasn't on strike, he had too much integrity to his profession, he was giving 5 star care to his patients. This man was without doubt the best teacher to his paramedic student, as well as being the person who ensured an 80 year old patient was given information, care, medical attention and 100% NHS expertise. It was recognised and I hope it will be recognised by the general public and the NHS. I hope you get the honour you deserve and I hope the st Paul's and NHS team get to see this review. Thank you Dr Pete x

Excellent, (I think) German female doctor who made the wait worth while, she was very nurturing and took the time to be very thorough and took everything very seriously, she really made my day, thank you.

I am writing this review to commend the truly super staff who treated me for a broken wrist (my second time here, unfortunately). Dealing with a severe injury like this is incredibly stressful and painful, but the nursing staff and care team made the entire experience manageable. Their professionalism was outstanding, particularly when they had to perform the necessary, painful procedure of pulling my arm back into place. They executed this efficiently and with great skill, ensuring the best possible outcome. What truly set them apart was their compassionate care and wonderful humor. Even through the pain, their funny attitude helped distract me and kept my spirits up. They managed to be highly professional while remaining warm, empathetic, and truly caring. Thank you to the entire team. Regards a Southsea Nomads Rugby player.

I have health problems that mean I might need to attend St Marys regularly. They have always been kind, professional and non-judgemental. I know they have my best interests at heart and are happy to indulge my treatment preferences. The care I've received has always been top-notch and I will come here over QA wherever possible. Special thanks to Phil, Cam, Connie and Maisie. Also to the reception team who are always kind and patient. Only thing I would change is go back to the old opening hours - closing at 8 is too early!

Visited today in a lot of pain. The nurse that triage me would have got zero stars as she was really unpleasant. Told me that I would only be referred back to the doctors and was wasting my time and the clinics. I nearly cried. However Pete the clinician who saw me was amazing. So nice and really helpful. He gave me as much time as I needed, really listened and made every effort to help me. He sorted an xray, spoke to my doctors surgery and explained everything to me clearly. He made sure I left with a treatment plan and the medication I needed. Also all the staff in the xray department were very good too. Just a shame about the first nurse I saw.

Took my daughter as she was unwell, she was seen within 10 minutes of being there. Staff were all lovely and friendly.

There was an up to 5hr wait. My sons autistic and half way through was having a meltdown, I imagine just as much for the others waiting, they took us out and placed us in a quiet corridor, the lady, she was actually an X-ray technician, took us, and was so good with my Son, she showed him around, and tried distract him with magnets that were holding the signs up, honestly, this meant the world to me, she didn't have to do any of it, I know it was just as much for the other patients waiting but the fact she then took the time out to make sure he was settled. I appreciated it so much, she was blonde (mostly) and working in the xray at about 4pm on Sunday 4th December 2022. Please pass on my thanks.

Directed by my doctor's surgery to the walk-in as there where no appointments left by the time I got through. Initial impression professional, triage excellent, medical practitioner poor. Kept asking how I had been directed to the center, asked to justify why I was there. I don't normally give feedback but the was a negative experience.

I am in excruciating pain with an infection in my face that is spreading fast. I was told that if it's dental they can't treat me but since returning home I found advice on the NHS online information that if you have an abscess & your eye is severely swollen & painful or your mouth is severely swollen then the NHS emergency services will treat the infection. I have all of these symptoms which were clear to see as well as me clearly explaining my symptoms. I am agoraphobic & told them that this was the only place I could get to with the help of a friend but the only thing I was given was a printed sheet directing me to a walk in dentist in Fareham which was closed until Monday. I told the consultant that I was unable to get to Fareham & I desperately need treatment today (Saturday) as this infection is spreading fast (it appeared overnight, I was completely fine Friday night when i went to sleep) but this was ignored. No pain relief or medication to treat the fast spreading infection offered at all, not even any advice on anything I could do to relieve the pain & stop the infection spreading further. My eye is now completely swollen shut & I am in incredible pain & have no clue what to do or where to go next but the NHS site says that if this is an abscess it can be fatal if left untreated & the infection spreads. I wasn't asking for dental treatment, I need something to stop this infection spreading further until I can get an emergency dental appointment with my own dentist on Monday. I don't even know if this is a dental infection as I have no pain in my teeth which I also explained but I clearly have an infection of some kind in my face. I asked if it could be my sinuses as I do have problems with them & was told that sinus infections aren't treated with antibiotics but no other course of treatment was offered. It seemed to me that they were not interested in providing any treatment or advice. I will be finding out the next step of raising a complaint when I feel well enough but I advise anyone in pain & needing urgent care to call 111 first & find a way of going anywhere other than here. UPDATE: I had to go to A&E at the QA Hospital as an emergency in the early hours of sunday morning. They were shocked that I was left untreated with such a severe infection. I was fast tracked through & treated very quickly. The staff were amazing & I am so grateful to them. I was very unwell as the infection was spreading very fast but the staff at A&E were very caring, professionall, thorough & reassuring & I got the treatment & antibiotics required. If I had been treated yesterday the infection wouldn't have got so bad that I had to go to A&E or become so ill. I hope that no one else has to go through anything like this.
