I have tried to do an appointment from 8 am in the morning from the last 5 days and because I could not do it I call them , she was so rude and hang up the phone on me . It is impossible to keep calm with such a horrible human being that they work for NHS ( God keep us away from people like that) Shame , shame , shame !!!!
Only recently joined the practice and even though it can ( like everywhere ) be difficult to see a doctor . The reception staff are always helpful . The calls from the doctors always come on the day booked for . Nurse practitioners are amazing and able to speak to a doctor on your behalf . And blood tests with Helen are always painful and Helen very friendly and likes a laugh
I've been at this practice for 5 years now. Although it isn't perfect and it can be difficult to get routine appointments without a few weeks wait, the drs have always listened, taken me seriously and treated me well through a variety of health issues. The receptionists have always been helpful , especially if I cannot get an appointment then they quickly look at out of hours availability to ensure I can be seen and further referred to the practice Dr if necessary. Demand in the NHS, especially in our area is super high and although it can be frustrating waiting for an emergency app if needed, they have always managed to squeeze me or my children in.
The service at this place is absolutely appalling. The receptionists are especially rude and extremely unhelpful. A receptionist told me that this place isn't an emergency service and told me to ring 111 just for them to telle to ring the doctors. After 4 weeks of waiting for an appointment I saw the NURSE after asking for a doctor just got her to tell me what I have could be gout. After another two weeks I managed to get a doctor appointment this time with a locum, who referred me to the hospital urgently as I now have suspected bowel cancer. If the receptionist had just listened to me I would probably be at the hospital right now. I will not be coming back to this practice anymore.
Receptionists are rude, don’t listen to what you have to say and talk over you. I was referred to an external party for something regarding my health to be rudely told that it’s ‘not supported by the NHS’ when I have both researched the external party, evidence from them that they are supported by the NHS and I was even referred to them through the surgery! Wouldn’t listen to what I had to say, kept cutting me off and I could hear her starting to raise her voice when I was speaking. Trying to get an appointment is like trying to get blood out of a stone! When it’s something you’re struggling with they don’t want to know.
At 2.30 today Wednesday feb 1st, I had the unfortunate experience of being spoken at (not to) by the rudest receptionist I think I’ve ever met. I feel very sorry for the patients of rowner surgery
This practice seems to have gotten worse recently. Never any appointments face to face or phone consultations, always told to go somewhere else attitudes of some staff are very unhelpful would not recommend anyone goes to this practice if they actually need to see a doctor.
Awful! Refused to see me for right sided abdominal pain for 5 days. Ended up with ruptured appendicitis and then sepsis which meant I spent 4 weeks in hospital fighting for my life. All cuz the drs wouldn’t see me soon enough
Had to really really fight to get my girlfriend an appointment they kept refusing time and time again Even tho it’s on there system that she has to be seen within 24hours. Then all of a sudden there ‘system went down ‘ and tried robbing us off to the chemist . We refused and again said after how many times she has to be seen within 24hours it’s on your system , eventually they have gave in and the system magically worked again. What a joke
Hour long wait + to get hold of any one. When you do get hold of them you have to fight to see any one. My sons tablets ran out even when we let them know early we needed some. Doctors and nurses are awesome but everything else is awful
