Doctor no patient care with patients elderly in particular or no manners or thought of others and emotionally and health aftercare to two of my family members who never where a strain on our health services it does not mean when you get older it is old age and put it down to that they too can have serious illnesses better to check for early detection now I have lost this family member and don't want to loss another still don't seem to care about our aging community apparently age is just a number now how would they feel if it was their family member should not make a difference

UPDATE: July 2025 Called to find out what blood tests were run that have thrown up a need for a repeat: whilst blood is being taken to manage a condition, I am not clear what tests are being run or for what reason other than because of a condition. The male receptionist I spoke to kept talking over me, wouldn't let me finish, was implying by tone that I know what the tests are because I had blood taken (eh, no, i just held my arm out for blood to be drawn, I don't know what was being tested). His attitude absolutely stinks when he is front-facing. I am assuming he is new as well as it's normally women on the phone / desk, so this does not bode well for patient satisfaction. The doctors and nurses are all lovely as well, it's a shame that a small number of their front-facing colleagues are a problem. *********** Came up to get a prescription. They aren't permitting entry so you use the speaker. The speaker is broken (unbelievably low), and would the guard-dog receptionist come to the door? Would she hell. Went to call on phone. 28 call attempts and then 14 mins listening to their hold music and message, I have given up. So can't get my medication or the sample tool required for the issue to be tested. Their "welcome" message is rude as well: they are bitching that people have been calling for medical help. Maybe because they aren't able to manage their booking well.

Visiting from London for a few days. We needed a simple medicine for our 3y old boy, as suggested from the local pharmacy (Johnston). We went to this GP to get temporary registration and the prescription (our GP from London cannot prescribe here) but they refused and just said we should call “Phone First” and ask them to help us. In addition they said they called the Johnston pharmacy and asked about this and that the pharmacy had “no record of us going there” so basically called me a liar! I have been there explaining this very basic situation for half an hour and had to leave with a generic phone number in my hand… This is a clear example of how a basic medical need can become a major issue and take a full day to resolve when it could have been dealt with 5 minutes of someone reasonable of caring.

Possibly the worst surgery ever. I have been trying to get in contact with them for days to sort an appointment out for what could be quite a serious issue and it seems almost impossible to reach them. Not to mention the receptionists are very rude. Quite often I am scared to ring and would rather suffer in silence, only calling when I am in agony because I don’t want to waste their time. Nobody should ever have to do this. This is not just an issue for me, everyone I speak to who goes to this practice agrees. Moreover, you should be aware waiting for a response from the new text service may take a while…

This Doctor Surgery has been so helpful to me and I'm genuinely glad to be a patient here. The doctors are polite, professional and make you feel heard and understood. I never feel rushed or like my problems are being dismissed. They respond to letters from consultants quickly and thoroughly. I don't have much interaction with reception as I order through the app and my carer calls for me, but he has always said they are polite and easy to talk to.

Very helpful receptionist this morning when I rang and very helpful GP who called me back. Understand the phone lines are very busy and even though it took me around 30 minutes to get through they were all very helpfulX

It’s incredibly difficult to get speaking to anyone at Dromore Surgery. I have previously had to make over 100 calls before being placed in a lengthy queue. Even if you make it to the queue & spend the time on hold it’s likely that they’ll be at capacity by 9am. I understand that this problem isn’t exclusive to Dromore & that GP surgeries all over the country are under immense pressure - but the current phone system at Dromore just isn’t fit for purpose. I have a chronic illness & do not feel like I can rely on this surgery for adequate care. Having said that, any GP I’ve managed to speak to has been incredibly helpful. I also attend regular nurse appointments & the nursing team are fab, very efficient & always super friendly. Just such a shame about the current phone system. Healthcare should never be this inaccessible.

Absolutely ridiculous how many tries it takes to get through to them, over 200 rings and still can’t get a hold of them. Dromore you need a better system, this isn’t right for your clients. Half of us can’t afford to stay on the phone for 30mins to 1 hour to get through as we have jobs to be at. Absolutely ridiculous
