   Both the optical staff and the optometrist were very polite, patient and informative. My original intention had been to purchase a pair of 'designer' frames, but because of my advanced prescription such frame designs were deemed unsuitable for my type of strong [lightweight] lenses. It was suggested Specsavers own brand of frames might be more suitable - as there was a wider range of frames with more suitable (reduced) lens heights that provided better clarity for my specific prescription. I chose two pairs of frames with which I am extremely pleased. The optometrist, Ms. J. Patel, was excellent at her job. She was thorough, patient and informative; I had full confidence in her abilities. Having worn spectacles all my life (from aged 3), the inevitable associated eye examinations over the years have provided me with much experience. Specsavers, Farlington, can be highly recommended.

   Every member of staff was really helpful. The lady who carried out my tests explained everything in detail and did not rush my test and was happy to go back if I wasn't sure. The lady who helped me pick my glasses was also very helpful and honest with my choices so I ended up with the right glasses for me. Would definitely recommend.

   What became crystal clear to me yesterday is this branch and staff don’t care about the welfare of eyes it’s just all about money I returned with a medical issue that I don’t know if it was because of my newer prescription and it all became about “you’re not getting your money back it won’t be the glasses” without any checks on my eyes at all!! I didn’t want my money back I wear glasses all the time I need them I wanted advice having ruled out everything else I learnt in the same conversation they had in fact sold me a new prescription I didn’t even need as apparently it was such a tiny change you wouldn’t even notice Sadly I will never use nor recommend and have lodged complaint - health and wellness should not be about fear of returning money or offering re test shame on you and please be aware local community their number 1 concern is making money nothing else so you might end up with something you don’t even need and rudeness

   Absolutely fantastic, Mark greeted me and was extremely welcoming and friendly, I was seen by the optician straight away who was extremely thorough and took the time to explain the results clearly and answer all my questions and was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, I was then passed over to Leanne who helped me choose and sort my glasses who was really warm and bubbly and couldn’t have done enough to help me. Really impressed with my visit. Was extremely looked after and was in and out within half an hour!

   After not having an eye test for 5 1/2 years thought I would try this one and I got a voucher in the post which helped my decision. The 2 young guys that did my general tests and optical photography were lovely and very efficient. The lady optometrist was just as lovely and really thorough. So glad I chose this opticians. They also do hearing tests.

   Was a good experience until I picked up my glasses, distance glasses were good but only one side of my computer/reading glasses were correct. Had to have another eye test and the glasses were sent back to the workshop to replace the lens. Nine days later still waiting :(
