I had severe anxiety last year and I was assigned Dr Wilson. She was the best and was very empathetic and was a good listener and not someone who wanted to rush to finish off the duty. She even called me once at 8:30 pm to check on me.

I have been with this Surgery/Health Centre since 1969. I have seen many changes as I am now 90. You also cared superbly for my late husband. I want to tell you all how well you look after me with dignity and care. I have never had a cross word with a Receptionist as they too are caring and sympathetic. I really thank and appreciate you all. THANK YOU. Margaret Bell

What is the point in being registered to a doctor if you. An never get an appointment. I called 138 times overa week, starting at 8am on the dot. I could never get through to make an appointment for my daughter who was struggling to walk with a hip problem. I am having to pay to go privately. What is the point in our NHS?

Very positive experience for me. The reception ladies have always been friendly and accommodating. My GP and the nurses I have seen, have all been friendly, patient and thorough. High recommend.

All in all actually a very good practice. Not had many issues like others getting appointments, yes you have to call at 8 on the dot but I've almost always been able to speak to a doctor the day I phone or come into the practice if needed. I did make a complaint once which on my part might have been slightly unwarranted but the practice handled it with so much care and grace I was incredibly thankful for the way it went down.

This is by far the best surgery I have used in the uk. Really glad to have doctor's like this. The doctors are friendly and genuine. They listen and apart from being busy, they are empathetic and take the time to deal with your problem be it over the phone or in person. They also try different solutions if something doesn't work or you are not happy with the first. I did not have great experiences with prior surgeries, so very happy with the service here. The reception team are also quite sweet and patient. Unfortunately they did change to a same day only service a few months back, which makes it quite difficult to get appointments, because appointments are usually gone between 8am and 8:30am daily. That is the only thing that i am not so happy about. But either than that, great service.

While it took me some time to get an appointment, the two doctors I saw were very helpful. They can't help the delays and business so I don't blame them for that at all. I am just grateful that the two female doctors I saw for my ear infection were kind and caring. Thank you so much.

When they are needed the GPs at this practice pull out all the stops. Whilst standing in a queue at Eastney reception today I witnessed three different receptionists dealing with patients in an extremely caring, patient and thorough way. No one minded waiting as they could all see that they were doing a great job

I wish I could give a Zero, but app won't let me.. this the worst doctors I have ever came across. Now don't get me wrong the staff are nice polite and helpful. But come on I've been a patient here for 18 months and managed to see a nurse once. Now I have underlying health issues and my last Gp used to have me in every three month for check ups. This surgery won't even pick up the bloody phone. Pathetic

The medical service in this country is broken, the hardworking people cannot even get appointments. I pay thousands each year in national insurance and have health insurance with the company I work for, but still cannot get an appointment! The phone line for this practice is always rammed, as soon as you call for an appointment it will tell you the lines are full and you have to hang up. Tried to do online but the system said they can’t determine and to call the office!? Also, I can’t line up during the week because I work away from Portsmouth, and the centre is closed on weekends? So it’s impossible for me to get an appointment, that’s why I say the system is broken. Free medical care for anyone who comes into the country unannounced but for the citizens who pay lots of taxes and even get additional health insurance, they cannot get seen! Government should be changed and this medical centre should improve its customer service and patient intake! The stars are only for the staff who are overworked and under pressure.
