I've never had a problem with this practice. Everyone has always been polite and accomodating, from the receptionists to the nurses and GPs. I've also always been able to get same day appointments for my child when needed.

I hope this could serve a recent review for everyone looking for this practice. I will review this 5 stars because I never had a problem with this practice only minor issues of miscommunication. I have two children and both of them were under the care of this GP alternating Highlands Surgery too as they are now Meon Health Practice Partnership. Every time I called in I was never refused, every time my child had a problem, a sickness, anything I was seen on the day either in Whiteley or Fareham. I was happy with that as someone who struggles with health anxiety myself. The reception ladies are always polite which is hard to find nowadays especially within GPs. They always helped me, sorting out with prescriptions last minute. I also had my blood tests done there with the nurses and they were incredibly quick and lovely. I did not need the service for myself as all my problem were attended by A&E. But for my children they went above and beyond. So thank you!

- Making an appointment is awful. - Obtaining tablets that you have been previously prescribed is awful. - Closed cases can make you scratch your head. Its not really a closed case, its a reply with little information on what you need to do next. I thought our last doctors was bad, Meon has without a doubt taken 1st place now. On a positive, getting a "fit note" isn't too bad, but takes a few days from submitting the request. Update 27-08-2025: Tried to get an appointment yesterday but the option wasn't avaliable (appointments gone, I was on the website at 08:00) Today, same thing. Refreshed the page randomly for 5 minutes, still not able to get an appointment. I will try for a routine appointment at 11:00 Getting a "Fit Note" is still easy enough. BUT... im waiting to see a neurologist, the hospital was changing from outlook to an NHS system. My referral was lost in the transition meaning the doctors had no record of my referral but continued to issue "Fit Notes" (employer needs the information from neurologist before I can return to work) my referral has been sent again after calling the hospital, shame the practice didn't check my file, I would have known about the issue sooner. If anyone needs time off, just make up some random hospital referral that prevents the employer having you at work. The practice doesn't check records and will willingly issue a "Fit Note"

1 star is being generous. A few years ago, this surgery was great and you could actually see a GP, once it became part of Meon Health Practise it turned to shambles. Cannot get an appointment no matter if you try phone or use their awful online portal as you just get told all appointments are fully booked and to try again another time. Do GPs even work here? Receptionists are rude and unhelpful. Not that this review will help as they clearly don't care about patients or the fact their review rating is low. Avoid joining this practise at all costs!!

Always waiting over an hour to talk to the receptionist just to be put on a triage list or told to go on push doctor. Seems like they just can’t be bothered. Always end up ringing 111 in the end, even though they tell me to ring my GP.

In early December I called and waited over 1hr to speak with the receptionist. I explained my symptoms which was obviously high blood sugar (diabetes). I was really ill. On this occasion I was told there were no appointments and to call back tomorrow., phone was then put down on me. I called 111 and they said to call my doctors! Couldn't make it up. That evening I was rushed to hospital with a blood sugar reading of over 30! (Normal is between 4 and 9) And quickly losing consciousness! Diagnosed with type 1. Move to today and why I'm writing this review. My wife has a lump and pain in her upper abdomen. She has tried to get a face to face with a doctor for over 2 weeks but keeps getting fobbed off to a push doctor on an app! This is causing her to worry unnecessarily when a doctor could examine her and put her mind at ease. This system has to chance! I attended the surgery today and there is not a single person waiting to see a doctor! The que was full of people writing forms to be put on the phone doctor triage list! This is mental and clearly not working. Is this the govenment guidelines to surgery's? Or is it the practice that has decided to work like this. I feel it could be dangerous and lead to a number of non diagnosed serious issues with unwell people that can't describe over a phone something that needs to be assessed in person. We are now considering private heathcare as this system is clearly broken!

Thank you for the excellent service on Friday 30th December. I went into the surgery at 11:45am, to ask for medical help, I completed a form and was promised a phone call back the same day. I was contacted at approximately 4pm, and a prescription sent to the pharmacy within 5 minutes. Thank you.

Zero stars! Awful communication! We weren't told they moved our twin babies jabs to another surgery. Appointment was then cancelled at other surgery. As soon as we walked into the surgery they said we should of been told....... 1 of many disappointing encounters with this place. I'd say avoid the place but unfortunately if you're in their catchment you are stuck with them.

I would leave a review, if i was able to get through to a receptionist! The practice phone line now cuts you off immediately stating demand on the phone line is too high and to try again later. Not even a queue mechanism anymore to join. At least before there was some hope you could talk to someone eventually. :(
