Booked an eye test online and turned up at the confirmed time. I showed the confirmation email to staff, only to be told there was no appointment on the system, which they were confused about. I didn’t make a fuss and simply rebooked for the same time the following week, but unbelievably it had been booked for the wrong time. When I phoned to sort it out, I was told I now had two appointments: one for an eye test at the incorrect time and another for contact lenses, despite the fact that I don’t wear contact lenses or glasses and never asked for either. A complete waste of time. No courtesy apology was offered on either occasion. Utterly disorganised.

Optician (Tracy Ly) took time to understand the problem ls I had been experiencing. She explained my different options and advantages and disadvantages of my choices. I felt I made a fully informed choice. She made sure I had extra test after to rule out any issues. Then Tara was one of the friendliest and professional people I have dealt with. She completed tests, explained the outcome Then took the time to explain my prescription to me. She helped me understand the two pairs of glasses I needed. Amazing staff with no pressure. Best visit I have had to an opticians in some time.

Had a great experience when I went to the store for an appt to look at problem "floaters" in my eye that I was really concerned about. The appointment I booked was changed to an eye health check and it was completed on the day. Had the appointment with an excellent optician who conducted all the tests and informed me of what was going on and likely next steps and some options - really excellent service from all staff on the day. Very pleased.

Shocking experience! I hope things have changed now. I went 2 years ago and was given glasses that I couldn't actually see out of. My test felt very rushed and I've worn glasses for 10 years, so I've been to several eye tests. I was told to drive home in these new glasses to test them out, but I couldn't see so I drove home in my old ones. I tried wearing them at home, but could only tolerate them for 30mins at a time as they gave me such a bad headache. I went back to the store saying they'd given me the wrong prescription. I had to go back on 5 occasions to the store to get my prescription sorted. In the end, they did a free restest where they stated "we're not sure what prescription to give you but try this one." So I wore that prescription for the past 2 years no problem as I didn'tget headaches from these so thought they had got it correct that time. Then yesterday, I went for a test at Vision Express where I was told that I'd been overprescribed by Specsavers in the right eye, meaning I had been wearing glasses too strong for me. This means I now have to throw out all my contact lenses, as they were from the Specsavers prescription. Very disappointed as previously I'd been to other Specsavers stores and never had this issue. I will now be sticking with Vision Express as I don't want to risk my eyesight being tampered with by incorrectly prescribed lenses.

My Husband bought 2 pairs of varifocal glasses just under a year ago. They cost hundreds of pounds. He went to Specsavers Whiteley to have his glasses adjusted because he was getting headaches. We wasted a whole day with them trying to decide what was wrong with one pair of the glasses. Eventually they decided the reactions were stressed because the lenses had been put in too tight. They wouldn't do anything although it was their fault because it had been over 90 days since my Husband bought them. We were promised a phone call back from the manager this never happened !!! I would NEVER recommend anyone to go their

Absolutely brilliant staff and service here. Having booked two eye tests at another local opticians a few weeks ago, both of which were cancelled by them but didn't inform me before I turned up, I decided to give Specsavers a go. The online booking was faultless and very easy to do. I arrived and was very nervous for various reasons, especially as I hadn't been for an eye test for years and have been experiencing migraines. The staff were fantastic, took the time to explain everything and made me feel at ease. I am so glad I had the OCT scan now, it was straight forward and non invasive. The lady was so lovely and kind, she then took me to the lady who did the eye test who was also fantastic. So friendly and explained everything perfectly. Can't praise this business highly enough. All the staff are so friendly, not pushing to sell products but happy to help and give guidance if you need it. Fantastic
