Extremely welcoming club. As a holiday PADI diver I recently put the feelers out for scuba clubs in the area. Aberdeen SAC were swift to get back in touch and helped me get sorted for diving in the UK. I was invited along to the club social where I was given a rundown of what I needed to get started with the club. Within three weeks they had me through drysuit training & in the sea diving with them. Overall this has been such an incredible introduction to diving at home and I am really impressed with how inclusive the club is for everyone across such a wide range of ages and skill levels.

The Aberdeen Sub-Aqua club are a varied group of people, always helpful and encouraging, even fine cakes and BBQs at some of the dive trips. Have always been made welcome and encouraged in all the years I've been a member. They own there own RIB and inflatable as well so all types of diving available and many trips organised during the year for all grades of divers, full training programs available through the club.

My son has absolutely loved his try dives and cannot wait to get qualified. The instructors are very experienced and knowledgeable. They encouraged my son to really challenge himself. Great club!

Great club. Very welcoming to all age and experience levels. I've just got into the sport and have found everyone I've met happy to do all they can to help a new diver like me learn the skills they need to start their underwater adventures. So many friendly folks on hand to answer any and all questions you might have if you are thinking of giving diving a try.

Superb club! So happy to have found the Aberdeen BSAC branch, my son has been asking for years if he could dive on holiday but I was worried about the safety, at aged 12, he joined last year and he is already well on his way to being a BSAC Ocean Diver having completed the pool and theory tests. His excitement about diving is matched by the volunteer instructors who’s passion for diving is clear. Safety is built into every aspect. As well as diving he is learning to listen, look out for his buddy, look after his equipment and care about his environment. The club is friendly and helpful, communication is easy and there is a mass of experience on hand for beginners.

The most friendly and inviting club, more like a family! Always gives people encouragement and confidence to achieve their goals. Always feel safe when diving with the club and can always feel I can turn to someone if I’m not sure of something or nervous and will get the help I need. I have done things I never thought I could ever do! Brilliant club!

I joined the club last year, after a try dry dive and am now going through my ocean diver training. The passion and knowledge of the Instructors has been amazing, and everyone one of them has been nothing but patient and encouraging. This club is very much a community, with all members pitching in and helping each other, wether it be advice on equipment, to bringing along the firewood for a cold days diving, and everything in between and beyond. Joining the club is by far the best thing I did last year, and am very excited to be a part of what the club has planned this coming year. If you’re interested in learning to dive, or looking for like minded people to dive with locally, definitely get in touch with the club and come blow some bubbles with us. You won’t regret it!

We took a mixture of Scouts for a try dive session and they all loved it. Many had not experienced Scuba before and all came away very very happy! The instructors knew their stuff and took their time with the Scouts (and leaders). Having a one on one scenario was amazing for the Scouts. A worthwhile and exciting activity for any youth group!
