   We've recently downsized to something of a "dolls house" bungalow going from 2-3 bathrooms to 1. We needed- somehow - using the existing bathroom space to create a shower room, loo, sink etc AND a separate cloakroom. Bathroom planners in York couldn't deliver such a design but Halmshaws could and did. Chris Walton produced a design with amazing speed and recommended really good quality equipment. Thanks to Chris and Halmshaws, we now have exactly what we need. The installation was not so straightforward with the plumber getting some things wrong. Halmshaws came to the rescue again with excellent advice and practical interventions. Liam Hammond was as professional as Chris and it's thanks to both of them that we have succeeded and stress levels have been kept to a minimum( did I mention we were refurbishing the kitchen too!). Anyway, sorry to be so long winded but as it's very rare to come across such a high level of service, we wanted to place it on record. We've refurbished many houses over the years - we're in our 70s - and because of that can say without doubt Halmshaws are outstanding.

   I went in today as they were highly recommended. We were looking to upgrade our bathroom with a budget of £10,000 - £15,000. Yes we were in jeans and t-shirts. Not one sales person came to help us! Big mistake. Unless you look affluent do not go they treat you like a piece of dirt

   The service was absolutely top rate, beyond superb. I needed two replacement toilet seat seats and aware that some people will be spending money on whole bathrooms and what touched me was even with my relatively small purchase I felt treated ‘like royalty’. Georgina did so much research and liaison with the rep for the make and then gave me unbiased helpful information. When I called to pick up the product, the member of staff who helped me measure the product was patient, kind, carrying my purchases out to the car. The product is really excellent, and I am totally happy both with that and the service I received. Can’t recommend and praise this company enough.
