Just back from 2 amazing weeks in Ionian Islands. Transfers went smoothly. No issues with the Yacht that were not sorted out very quickly and easily. Paleros was a fabulous Port to sail from and too, so very laid back, that made a huge difference to the holiday. Thank you Top Yacht Sailing Ltd...We will be back for more. Fabulous service.
We have been chartering boats worldwide for many years. I chartered boats with Top Yacht back in the late 80’s early nineties when I believe they were establishing themselves. I have nothing but praise for their professionalism and friendly no nonsense approach to this ‘ strange pastime’ . I cannot praise Lee and his team enough for a recent trip to Gocek in Turkey which was absolutely brilliant in all respects . I first went out there around 1987 and I must admit it’s changed a bit!!! Great boats , great weather , great people . If you want to consider this sort of holiday look no further than this company . Yes you can probably source it cheaper but trust me it’s never worth it .
1 Week in the South Ionian on a (week old) 4.6 Bali Cat run by Istion and arranged by Top Yacht. Perfectly arranged and communicated by Lee and the team - seemless transfers and a great boat. Highly recommended companies.
Just come home from my second charter booked through TY, and am in the process of booking for next years. Last year I chartered overseas for the first time, and I was a little overwhelmed with choice of destinations and charter companies and so I chose Lee to help me through the process for two reasons: 1. So that I'd have someone on my side guiding me through the myriad of choices, and 2. So that I could rest assured that whoever I ended up chartering with would be a reputable company and that I'd have a local point of contact should I have any issues. Lee has been excellent in that regard, even going so far as assembling his team of sailing buddies on occasion to help narrow a choice of boats down based on their sailing characteristics! His prices have on occasion been slightly higher initially than going direct to the companies, but on both occasions he's been able to go away and match the prices somehow and so really why wouldn't you rather book through a local agent? Added benefits also mean that payment through Lee means transferring GBP rather than trying to send money internationally! TY is a small organisation, and what means is a totally personal service! I've only ever had to deal with a single point of contact, and I really feel like he's taken the time to get to know my needs and requirements which makes repeat bookings a breeze as I really feel like I'm getting recommendations that suits me and not what is best for a business somewhere. The fact that I can also keep all my documentation on file with him also means that this year I didn't need to mess around uploading all my sailing qualifications again. its the little details like that which just makes the process easier. Lee has also been very patient with me, whether it's me being picky about boats, or if I can't make up my mind about where to go, or on one occasion where I ended up not booking a winter sailing charter. Always fast to reply to emails, and available on the end of the phone if required.
We have chartered with Top Yacht on numerous occasions over the last eight or so years. Lee has a brilliant knowledge of locations to rent and the best times of year to go. The level of service is excellent too. I would thoroughly recommend!
